Hrrmm-
DC servers are dead, all dead?
PC version of PSO-got canned?
GC-don't get me startet-I wish I could afford one X_X
To put it into sentance form:
The DC servers are all down, correct? If not, its free to play them, correct? Furthermore the PC version of PSO is-well-where is it? And finally-is it worth a GC for PSO ep i and ii and a few other games or should I just get a PS2?

The thing with the PC trial is that you can't save and you get kicked of after a certain amount of time. At least that's what the story on PSOW is. I haven't downloaded it myself.
As for whether or not buying a GC is worth it for PSO, it depends. If you get PSO and eventually get tired of it what are you gonna do with your cube if you don't like any of it's games? Try renting the system(Blockbuster does still rent systems, right?) and trying out games first. If you like other games on the system as well as PSO, then you should probably buy a GC.

Sega net is free until the end of Augest, yes, but PSOv2 is not. V2 is still Pay-to-Play. If you want to play some V1, go right ahead! That's free!

I thought it said sega net subsctiptions will all end in august anf Sega net will be up for free till the end of the year-Ungh-I just now found V2 in a store and i only get one month-the agony!
P.S. this is where I got the from
As of August 1, 2002, we are ending our Dreamcast subscription service and opening up SegaNet servers to all online gamers. Dreamcast users will be able to enjoy free unlimited head-to-head online gameplay on SegaNet through the end of 2002. At that time, Sega will shift focus to supporting new online titles for other platforms, and servers for Sega-published Dreamcast games may close down.

*Access to game servers for Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 and Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II is not affected by the changes to SegaNet and requires separate subscription fees. Online Sega games for the Xbox will require the Xbox Live service.
you forgot to read the fine print..... as for ver2 on de defunct DC...... i say skip it, its to late to really enjoy it now.... but if you are die hard for PSO and that game is what makes you choose a new system, then wait a few months it will be here sooner then ya think with a whole lot more then the pallet swapin of ver 2 and you can get it either on the cube or the box, sorry no PSO on the PS2...... good luck in your choice.

Oh and by the way, I have the PC Trial for PSO, and you get a half and hour time limit, you cant goto Pioneer2, you cant save, and only the forest is available to users, its still fun though, i go on like everday as Master Of Ji, its cool you should get it, the res on PSO PC Trial is much higher as well, so itsa nice scene heh heh! Oh and when you die, you jus come back to life, no matter what!

Yep, instant moon! Which puts the moon you sometimes get in f2 out of a job.
Hey sj, wanna play right now? I usually come on as needler.
The trial is worth the half hour or so time it takes to download. It kinda makes me feel good to remember the days when everyone was low leved and trying out.

I usually come on as SpaceRobot5.
And I think getting a GC & PSO would be worth it.
