not much at all i only play with friends and locked games but other than that just use cheesy weapons or d/c if i see a hacker or somethign to that sort
and i don't really care i just hope its better than dc version, more reason to play

If any of my kitty friends become involved in using cheat items, I'll just ditch them =x. I'll probably get owned by lobby attacks if they ever develop.

I'm a little bothered, and I would only play with friends, but if I didn't play with other ppl, I wouldn't make more friends. Sure, playing with friends is all well and good, but one day, it just might be boring, or maybe none of ur friends are on. It's a risk I will take, several times.

yeah i only play with friends (if they on) but i really dont take rares or any hacked shit, cuz then it ruins the whole point of finding them and thus calling them rares ya know? Oh well, there wont be cheating on GC AT LEAST for a couple of weeks...lol

That happened a lot to me last year and is the thing that piss me more about cheating. I don't care if someone spoils his fun offline with a cheat device, but taking his cheat online is a sign of how much the cheater cares about others fun...

I don't mind it so much when people hack weapons, because then you just don't pick them up. I just get pissed when they start doing things that affect you (RSOD, Nol, etc.) If we can keep that stuff down then I won't be affected much.

I hated thiefs more than the hackers cause' i had my own way of hackers, i just hated when i would be playing ultimate with 3 complete legits and some one dies and another person would grab there nice 11 star wep and d/c....that just sucked....anyways i won't have to worry about thieves in the gc pso cause you still keep your weapon when you die =]

Is a way to play, but not as fun as if cheating was rare, or inexistant

Personally I will play online with anyone for a while until cheating develops at which point I will go to locked games with freinds. Hopefully during the "open period" I would've made a good few extra freinds. Besides, I've already got my two ho's to go through the game with.

Yeah, the point of PSO is communication. All locked games = no additional friends, because you can't reach anyone to talk to.

And I don't care about cheating. When someone brings free weapons to the table, hell yeah I'm gonna take it. I take what is offered to me, and I don't run like a pansy when a cheater comes into a game. Sure, if he makes the room unplayable, yeah, i'll go, but until then, i'll just play along. I'm serious, you "legit" types act like little teenage girls. That's not an insult, that's a fact.

But those guys sometimes NOL you, RSOD or they're involved in all those annoying activities I personally hate and discourage.

I consider hacking and duping to be just as bad as other forms of cheating. The game's been designed twice and they didn't change the rare system, yet people use that scapegoat eveytime when they try to justify that form of cheating.

If it bothers you so much just don't play the game. Problem solved.

id personally still like to c either sega or nintendo block cheat devices from ever being released. they could pressure retailers to not sell them, like sony did with bleem o_O

I hate cheaters and thiefs it makes the gameplay online less of a good experince and tends to stop the legit players going on, I play with friends and make new ones carefully.

If cheating becomes widespread, I'll simply resort to adventuring in locked games with noncheaters.
Hopefully Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 will at least substantially limit the cheating.

I don't really give a damn... I stood tall in Oberon 1-1 surviving RSOD/BSOD/WTF-SOD and having a helluva lotta fun meeting more people. If someone gives out weps I will honestly tell you I will take them... I like cheaking out all the rares I wouldn't be able to find otherwise. The only cheating I really don't like is NOL, PK, RSOD and stuff that directly affects others... Which for the most part my clan has been able to take care of (at least in oberon).

Cheating all round wrecks the game.
I rememeber the most fun I've ever had with PSO is the first three weeks PSO ver 1 had just came out and there wan't any cheat codes for PSO. Everyone was low level and everyone had crapy equipment (theifin' was very big back then), and the game was hard. Falz was a nasty bitch. It took real team work with complete strangers in any team do well, and it was easy to make friends.
Then Dups came around and everyone has the best everything. People join team looking for hand outs and PSO when straight to hell. Then PSO ver 2 came out, and i had hope that cheaters would be banned. My hope was quicky destroyed. So i use dups like everyone eles because it seemed like everyone was using them anyways.
And codes cheaters made like PK, BSOD, Nol and ect... there was never a point to it, other then just to screw people over. Thoses people where just assholes and it gave a false sence of power, it just a game!(all 12 years it seemed)
Anyways, that's enough bitchin' from me....
