hey, i am a level 80 FOnewearl and im on ult caves.
i find myself not kicking bum at all, very much the opposite, and i exepted that.....for a while.

i then saw a couple of people saying that they are getting to ult by level 55 and stuff. i am not sure why but i seem to take ages to kill enemies, its not that im dying because i think im quite good at dodging now after the years playing this life of a game, its just im not killing fast at all.

This is my first time to ult so it could be that im just not a high enough level to really kill at this level yet.

my Foie takes off 400 per bartle
my zonde takes off 400 per barble
my barta takes off 350 per tollaw

the techs are all around level 22 and my mst is 1050.

my GI/RA techs are all around level 15.

What can i do to kick ultimate butt?
thanks

Well, Jellen and Deband make it easier to survive. Gi- and Ra- techniques can be pretty useful, even though I only used them once or twice when I had yet to get online. >_>
If you clear a few areas, you'll probably get higher level disks as well. But there's no way to rush it if you don't feel comfortable with playing in Caves, you can just clear some Forest quests first.

It's hard for FOs to kill quickly and efficiently in ultimate (especially episode 2). The best you can to is Gi or Ra everything to death and continue pressing onwards... Grants is the only thing that will break 500 damage on a regular basis but its awfully expensive to rely on.

Keep at it till 120-150 and then start considering a STR/DEX mag and a good gun.

when i first started on ult. with my force i sucked also but i found out with jellen deband and shita really helps u out and i ran in n out of the rooms before i got hit or when i got hit to heal myself, but the best thing to do is play online or multi mode with some who is the same or higher lvl then u till you can go though ult. faster and better

Fluids, lots and lots of fluids. Along with money to buy fluids. Make sure you use the correct tech against the enemies. http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=542

I always tend to use the basic techs, foie barta and zonde. This reduces the use of TP used therefore saving on fluids, at least I found that form my experience.

Next thing is get yourself some good barriers and frame, preferably with some slots and use either some HP units (Dragon/HP can be found easily enough don't kow where though) And maybe some defence units like metal/body.

Lastly, dont try and be a hero (yet) and use weapons. Ain't gonna happen. If you have to, use a gunn and stay well back. Thats the advantage of high level techs, you can stay well back at the same time.

thanks for advise, especially trypticon.

i have already got equipped 3 dragon hp and one god mind. what i have been doing is just doing forest runs (trying to find that real agito) and FIY runs.
thanks for help, im trying to get online but cant find a router that wont make my phone line dead when i plug it in.

But when i get online should i do some TTF or something?

also will jellen/zalure (the def lowering one) work as the majority of attacks that i use are magic ones not physical.

offline? easy.

get yourself a summit moon (level to 100 for that)
get yourself a merge set (red, blue. yellow if you want)

boost your mind as much as possible.
(however i'd say your unit-usage is good - HP is really important as well).

then, just plow through stuff. use ryuker in dangerous areas and dont hesitate to kamikaze (that is if youre not playing BB http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

and - tripticons post is right. use the force - use the fonl advantages (= get high megid for ep2).

Get some basic tech merges (Foie, Zonde, Barta), or alternatively the Red, Yellow and Blue Merges.

Try and get a tech boosting weapon (Summit Moon is a good choice, boosts basic techs by 30% I believe), though the basic 9* force rares work wonders. You can get by easily using a Club of Laconium, Mace of Adaman, and a Club of Zumiuran. (These 3 weapons boost one of three basic techs, but by 40%)

The 9* wands (Indra, Dagon and Agni) also boost the simple/gi/ra techs, but not by as much.

Using a combination of these, it shouldn't be too difficult.

Also, deband/jellen are extrremely useful, as is a high level Rabarta.

Using these items, I cleared Ult Caves easily, the only trouble I had was with the boss (Nothing seemed to hurt it much) =
