View Full Version : Teenage girls.
Here's the story, just feel like I need to tell someone..
My girlfriend (13) goes on holiday to Germany with her school.
She goes out one night with her friends into to town, her friends have an idea about buying alot of cheap alcohol.
They then consume a hell of alot, and get completely pissed.
Teachers find out, now they all get it on their reports, and their parents will be told.
Why waste all that fucking money, on one pointless night which will fuck up your whole summer?
Because of this she will probably be grounded for the whole summer holiday.
What's the point in wasting all that fun on one dumbassed night?
Alcohol should be banned, I hope people who sell it to under-aged teens die.
OK, I'm done, reply if you like, I just wanna know why anyone would be stupid enough to do this kind of shit.

actually, I think in germany the legal age to drink is 13. they aren't uptight about it, because it's part of their culture.
eh, hmm...about the rest of that...well, that sucks?

What's the rush in wanting to grow up and act all mature? Then you reach mid-age and want to go back to your young teenage days. Seriously.

Eh......I hope a 35 year old german guy didnt get a hold of them though. Because over there...they can do a teenager, and get away with it. <_<At least from stories I heard...
The thing that pisses me off here is that everyone just drinks to get drunk, not to enjoy the drink.
What the hell is the point?
I've never been drunk - is it some kind of uber experience?
From all I've heard is it makes you an idiot, and then you wake up throwing up with a headache.
Ban alcohol.

Ok, when you drink alcohol, you can drink enough to where you can feel a "relaxed" feeling, and still not hurt your body. However, if you consume too much to where the liver looses its metabolic rate, thats when you start getting really messed up. Result: hangover the next day, and your liver is damaged.
A little after the twenties, the US government did ban alcohol. It was called "Prohibition." It was made because wives were tired of their husbands coming home, and beating them. (It also went vice versa.) And people were tired of people getting drunk...in public. After this act was passed, the moonshining busines began. Until the Prohibition was replealed.

I find it funny that this is your first reaction.
Like Jin said, kids wanna do all the stuff that "grown up" does, thinking that makes them cool. But soon enough, all they wanted is to go back to younger age where they wish they have never touch certain things.
Granted, I had some beer before I was 18. Actually, mostly when with family and got some from my dad. But that is like what, half a glass? Never found the reason to get piss face drunk. Hung over blows.

yea, teenagers tend to try out things that might make them seem older(ie. dressing like a slut, drinking, smoking, etc.) but it sometimes takes that experience for them to learn better. I have found my comfortable zone for drinking and i know how much it takes me to feel "relaxed". But 13 is really, really young to be doing that stuff IMO. and im 19 for the record.
and if you dont want a hang over, drink plenty of water. hang overs are generally caused by dehydration cuz when you drink you always end up peeing a lot but forget to drink water to replace the lost liquid. I haven't thrown up in like 5-6 years and i dont plan on doing it any time soon http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

If they were slum drunk, they might have not remembered if they met anybody else. So, if you still find it funny, go ahead. I could care less.

Mmm... I have an odd craving for a Martini. Guess I'll have to wait until I'm legal or go overseas again, college parties tend to just be about getting drunk, and not finding that tranquil peace.
Oh well.
Anyway Jett, I've been through a personal hell or two, and that just makes me more optimistic. You tend to see the immediate negatives of every situation (I think, anyway), and that might be why navi thought it was funny.

That explains all. And yes, I do see the negative ends first. Doesnt mean I sit there all depressed about it. I feel the bad effects for a few days, forget about it, move on. Keeping it in the back of my head so it doesnt happen again.

People go to any length to experience something new. Skydiving, rock climbing, drinking, anything exotic. Playing 'dangerous' games are always bound to appeal to many. : /
The only stuff I tend to touch is candy liquor, because its bittersweet with a kick. Not because of what other people do, think, or act.
Thank you very much.

Yeah, but those skydiving and mountainclimbing is best. Drinking however....>_>
Candy liquor? Hmm...never heard of it.

a few german laws:
legal age for buying beer: 16
legal age for buying alcopop / wine / everything over 3%: 18
raping a 13 year old: 3-10 years
(13 year olds arent considered to be able to decide wether they want to have sex or not, so everything sexual with them is seen as rape).
its interesting how you guys think laws are over here.

Not really to the point of being drunk, except on special occasions.
Germans drink causually, just as Americans do, but perhaps a larger amount of the population.
