K, well for those of you who read my rant about checking previously enjoyed game discs, here's a little update.

I went to the EBgames in the mall here, and explained my story. The guy apologised for what happened, and also apologised because he couldn't fix the disc in store. So he pointed out that he had some scratch kits in stock. They were all out of the CD Doctor thing [he said he stood behind that one] and the MadCatz one [which he wasn't sure about]. So i bought the MadCatz one, and it's currently cleaning my game disc...i'm hoping this will work.

Has anyone used it before?

I'll give you guys an update once it's done.

Madcatz.. ugh. They made my DDR pads, and my keyboard I used for PSOGC. The dancepads worked SOMETIMES. I'd have to take them back because part of them wouldn't work when I would open them up. The keyboard was.. well.. retarded. Nobody get the Madcatz keyboard. Ever. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif Glad to see they can make SOMETHING right, zel.

Mad Catz's XBox controllers have poor reaction time. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif You push the button and it takes a couple miliseconds longer than the M$ standard controllers to respond.

Yeah I have heard nothing but bad things about their controllers... but I guess there other stuff seems to be fine... not sure how you can mess up a cd-repair kit... *shrug*

Madcatz blows. You're better plugging things up to a steaming pile of shit rather than using their poorly designed products.

I have a 1x (59 block) GC Madcatz memory card.

Never went online, never corrupted and it cost next to nothing, being used.

*High fives GreyPhantasm!*
(who asked me before why people think MadCatz products suck, and I told him it was about the GC mem cards corrupting more often)

But I won't go near their ugly controllers or compressed memory cards. I know better. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Oh yeah, congrats on getting that DMC 1 to work Zelutos. Try getting all the unlockables/special stuff. It'll keep you busy for a while. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I had a MadCatz link cable for my GameBoy Color. And, it uh... worked fine?

I learned my lesson about MadCatz back in the Dreamcast days. 3 MadCatz 4x Memory Cards were purchased at different times. 3 MadCatz 4x Memory Cards failed to retain memory. 3 MadCatz 4x Memory Cards were subsequently returned.

I've just simply learned not to trust their products. Somehow, I suspect that you'd be better off with a Hong Kong Bootleg version of the hardware you're looking for.

Did you find other compressed VMU's that worked fine H._Meira?

I've heard its due to using the cheaper, compressed memory which makes it faulty. Having things not read correctly after it is compressed, right?

I know about the 1 char/VMU rules of DC PSO, so I can figure why you used one, but for anything else its kinda unnecessary for compressed memory.
