How bad are things on the Gc server? I'm seriously considering getting back online and I hear people talking about all the hackers.(FSODs and the such) My friend said that duping is now a serious offense, is that true? I have the original GC PSO.

If you play with other PSOW people and their friends, you should be able to be relatively safe. I've hardly experienced hacking/FSOD/dupes/etc.

Basically, you hear a buzzing noise, the screen freezes, and the only way you can escape it is to turn the GCN off.

If you have a badass computer, get Blue Burst instead. Unless you really want to have a bad day, don't play on Gamecube.

Short story:
A while back, I got the urge to play online. Not thirty seconds after connecting, I saw some script kiddie come in (after a while, ya just know them. they talk a lot of crap) and then BOOM! Or rather, BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. I turned off the GC, and instead left and went somewhere.

A couple weeks later, same thing.



GC isn't worth it anymore in my oppinion, unless you play by yourself, in a LOCKED game.
