But I bet half of us will end up deleting them and restarting, perhaps multiple times. Its like the practise/beta/test character for me. That's why these MMORPG's can be so fustrating. I always want a perfect character.

Whatever I do is final, because I make sure I select things I know I'll like to use.
So, whatever my first character in PSU will be, it won't be deleted, just like my first and second PSO characters back in PSOv1JP are still my mains in PSOBB and always were in each and every PSO version released to date.

Same as in MMORPGs, each first character I make is also my first till the end.
The "perfect character" is how you make it and adapt to its abilities and how much skill you have with them, not just stats (but stats help).

It is so fantastic to think of how it will be to design a PSU char for the first time!

To quote someone "It gets all sparkly with excitement!"
With all the new options and features, it will probably take everyone hours of joy to create their first char. For some, it might be their only activity on the first day of owning it. I have heard of people tweaking about on ep. 1&2 for over 2 hours, trying to get just the right guy.

Personally, I plan to try like every option of every char (not necisarily mix n matching the clothes) before settling on HUcast-like-substance.

Plus, it's just damm cool looking through all the people you can make. There's STILL HUcaseal paint-jobs you never see and rare RAcaseal types you won't run into that are just great to look at. They really had a great range of varients, so imagine what you can do with PSU!

Running into a twin, will probably be rare unless you're a Goku or a Sephiroth or that Ruroni Kenshin guy. I hope they maintain "Dressing Room" like option as well, especially now with the 'fashions'.

And what about the beasts? They're hairy all over in their super forms, do you think you can dye one green?

Where are the beast-girls? Those should be really interesting looking to customize. I hope they get good clothes. With all these options, creating a char should be a dream! I can't wait.

If i can make one that looks like, or close to Zelutos, i'll be happy. I plan on continuing my gunslinger style, as well as a blue haired male human. Yup...there better be some awesome mechgun-type-gunS. If it has all that, i shall be happy n.n

I may also decide to make a new Sephy. I wouldn't want my wonderful FOmar to be left out http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I'm going to re-make my PSO characters for PSU, and I can pull it off with some crazy back stories too. I'm already planning what colors of clothing I want for my characters, and what basic range of hairstyles and such I want for them.

What if some of your ideas don't exist? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

that's when you go for the next best thing. find something relatively close that you like.

Very little times I've restarted. I always stick with the char till the end. In PSU's case, I'd make a Newman for sure, and have it mainly learn techs and have a gun too. Appearance-wise, I never regret that either http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif but that's much easier since you can change it later XD

I've a bit of an OCD, not a serious one, but everyone's got a bit of an obsesive disorder. I had it rally bad on PSO, must of went though I don't know how many charcter and hours.

First character will look something like that. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I'll probably not use him a lot, make a new character and play with it more... Then get bored with it and come back to my first. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

I'll have to think up some really new cool names, good thing there may be no ID's now. Alot of people would name their character something awkward juts to get a certain ID.

Well like most here the characters I've worked on since ver 1 will be back in PSU. I'll be making them as close as possible to what they are now.

PSU will most likely come out in Japan and America long before it arrives over here in Europe. The Upside to this ( that's if there is an upside to having to wait ) is that PSOWorld will probably have covered this game in detail by then and that all the info I want and need ( What the characters look like, attack animations, thier stats and thier strengths and weakness, etc ) will be available to me to do all the neccesaru research ahead of time. Of course that's probably not going to stop me from taking each class and each character for a brief test drive, somtimes you've got to experience somthing for yourself.

I dunno about that, my first character ever was a HUnewearl, and I seem to always do better with those more then anyone else. It's kinda odd...

ANYWAY Short Newearl, both magically delicious, and strong. Long white hair. Red or pink eyes, petite. Ideal weapon: Something with a red blade or a scyth of sorts.
