Without evil, we won't look dramatically cool in either being a hero or being evil.

Without evil, the wonderful RPG's that we play would have no villain. In many a ways, the RPG's that we play wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for them evil ones. Like for example, what to do to save the world if it is in peace without anything evil happening? In addition to that, there would be either no PS(O) or none of what it appears to be today.

Without evil, we won't get to end up having the cool stuff throughout our adventure. Hookshot, anyone?

Without evil, it is harder for the people to see whether you are good hearted or not in comparison to others.
