I'm using a 56k modem, and nowadays I've been getting this error. I can only rarely get on, and when I do, the error return if I disconnect and reconnect so it is only once every rare moment that I can be in. The last time I was online was yesterday, and I got in only 2 times (reconnect after each time and the error will return like said, then had to wait it out for however long).

I've been told that the staff are on vacation until the 22nd or 24th, so this may be why it is happening. But some others can access online and I can't. Goddammit, isn't there a way to get pass this tad annoying error? This really interferes with my c-mode plan. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

Edited: Nevermind the topic, I've got this solved thanks to Saiffy.

Error 102 sucks doesn't it? I've been dealing with it for over a week, and I can only get on at my friends house. :/

I'm not sure if it works for everybody, but I suggested(It's what I do too) putting your computers IP adress in the primary DNS...It worked.

To figure out your IP:
http://www.whatismyip.com/

This of course only works if you're on a shared network.

You are also assuming that the machine in question is running a DNS Server.

In a NAT environment, you will only see the address of the router by visiting that webpage. So, you need to be mindful of your network environment.

I'm also getting this error... I was connecting fine this morning, but now I can't connect? I don't need to check my provider settings they were working with no problems? What gives??

Sometimes it just happens.

Wait about an hour or so and it should be gone by then. If it isn't gone by then, consult more help.
