Nevermind the site, just imagine how many wackos you could visualize on a 6.8 GHz, 1 TB RAM computer with voice controls.

TB = TeraByte

Think of this way, your average computer has about 512 MegaBytes of RAM. That is equal to 512,000,000 bytes (assuming 1 MB = 1000 KB). 1 TeraByte would be equal to 1,000,000,000,000 bytes.

Yep, the people that invent number prefixes have things covered quite well. Consider the things that come after TeraByte:

PetaByte = 1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes
ExaByte = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes
ZettaByte = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes
YottaByte = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes

To have some idea of how much information that can be stored at those sizes, consider that Internet Archive has a couple of PetaByte systems that they use to backup the Internet.

Some servers use equipment that advanced (and have been for some time).

o_o

holy fuck I wish I had a Yottabyte XD

and thanks ryne http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

this ends an argument I was having with a friend about what was after a Terrabyte >_>

and I love the Exabytes name http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Nice find!

By the way, for those not in the know, Windows XP is compatable UP TO 4GB of RAM. Though, the 2TB Harddrive isn't actually that far fetched. Wait just a little while longer and Hitachi will be pumping those suckers out left and right.
