is it true that if you get a hacked item you can no longer find rares. i ask this cuz i was givin a hacked item and didnt know about it. I no longer have the item and i deleted all the pso data from my xbox and still havent found one. Does it like make it where the Gamer tag cant find them anymore.

if this is a stupid question im sorry im pretty new to PSO (thats probobly why i didnt know the item was hacked)

I don't believe so.

If you've just started a new character, you may not find any rares at the moment due to bad luck and easy gameplay modes, you shouldn't expect to see any rares unless you're in V.Hard or Ultimate, you can find them in other dificulties, but no where near as often.

it happened months ago when i was a lvl 139 hunter and was finding a crap load of rares then i got hacked item and heard that if you got a hacked item you cant find rares and i didnt so i started anew game and deleted all my old data got a hunter up to a 120 and never found a rare and now i started to play again and im only a 35 but still havernt found a rare. even in boss fights the bosses drop like monomates and lvl 2 spells

Also... you didn't have to take such an extreme measure. You were just having bad luck...

In any case, the likely reason you are not finding many rares now is, well... because you started over from normal again. That's to be expected.

the thing with stacked items decreasing item drops i dont really understand what that means because that may be my problem as the others dont apply to me

Stacking tends to refer to having a stack of items that exceeds its normal limit. For example, Monomate x20 or Moon Atomizer x99.

Chances are, if you have stacked items, you'd know it.

No duping isn't the problem, it just you are having bad luck that is all.

Croker there are only 2 things which will stop you from finding rare items - no.1 Hacked Mag (mags over level 200) and item stacking ie if you are carrying or have banked monomates monofluids difluids etc to more than 10 of each.

If you have not stacked these items and you are not using a mag over level 200 then red boxes should and will appear - the more times you do the same area over the more chance you will have of finding a red box (rare item).

By the way you only needed to drop the hacked item on a floor and quit the game and your character data would have returned to normal.

Not sure if using hacked items resets monster counts once you get rid of it - if anyone knows plz let us know!

That first part only works since more runs = more dead enemies. And of course to add, Pds can go to 99.

Rare drops don't work with a counter, it is more of a dice system.

so how do i know if an item is hacked or not. i dont mean weapons because i know that buty like the god items how do i know nif there hacked

that topic said nothing of god/items being hacked. is a way to tell looking at the item database and seeing the stars of an item and if the item item has more stars then it should is it hacked?

I've never heard of any God units having the wrong star rating. In general, it will be pretty much impossible to tell if they are hacked unless you see a -- or ++ modifier (that only goes for GC/XBox/BB).

Just because you cannot determine the origins of the items does not mean they were not hacked.

Anyways, hacked God units should not affect your ability to find rare items.

ok well i found some rares by myself self yesterday so im guessing i dont have any hacked stuff

There was something about using a mag hacked over level 200 would cause rare drops to glitch and not occurr. I can't remember if this was proven or not.

actually, to the post at the top, u have to have the hacked item in the bank, then restart your exbox and dont touch the item/ untill you use the item again you will be able to find rares. i had a brush w/ hacked items myseld : )
