With the DC PSO servers going down soon, do you think it might be possible to build your own server using your computer? I've heard rumors of cheaters doing it. The reason I'm asking is my friends and I will still want to play PSO online.. but without a server.. well we can't. Any ideas? (and yes I know get GC.. I am but they aren't..)

I know a guy here in Italy who claims he's working on it (actually he claims he already did). I've never tried, tho.

To play on his server you need to connect your DC to a PC and operate a few more tweaks. I mean: don't expect it to be smooth as going online as you do right now.

I also heard long time ago that that Barubary-thing worked on a similar project.

Yes it's possible, as seen from the few things that have been done already, but it's unlikely someone would reverse engineer the rest of the server code and release it =X.
