Kef's Flowen Sword

Kef posted a picture of the Real Flowen Sword some time ago, I edited without his permission http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I hope he finds it okay. Heh... I decided to make it MORE nice, but I'm not totally satisfied, oh well:

Im gonna look for a big PSO metal weapon pic and then try to make that one look cool because here only the hilt and the things in the background are 'lighted' while I tried getting the whole sword bright. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

If you want to make only the sword bright, mess with layers.
Make a copy of the whole picture on a new layer, and keep the original underneath. Then erase everything but the sword on the new layer. Now use the layers bar on the left to change the blending mode and opacity on the new layer to get the effect you want. Its fun and easy!

Not too shabby, I like the glowing effect on the Agito. I took my own advice on the Flowen Sword pic, and messed about with the layers and whatnot, this is what I came up with...

I especially like how the background lighted areas look, especially the waterfall on the right with that 'building ruin' thing! VERY nice!!!

I highlighted the back areas like that by duplicating th image again on a new layer. Then I up'd the contrast waaaaay up to about 70, and turned the brightness down by about 20, so that only the main bright spots were not pitch black. Then I set that layers blending mode to...either screen or dodge and put the opacity down to about 50% or lower and over layed it on the original image. It brought it out nicely.

Wow. Very nice, everyone. Butoden's is a little bright for me, and the other is a little sharp. Skorp's actually kinda seems like a mix of the two.

When I was thinking of Flowen Sword, I was thinking of the clear type blades. I think that's the transmuted Olga Flow Sword... or aka Dark Flow.

Photoshop is nice. I'm not a fan of it. To me it sounds like you changed the contrast and brightness which I do a lot for my B&W Pictures.

I like what you did to the first pic. On the second pic, the Agito looks very good, but Terra looks odd.
