Level 95+...damn weird.

When I entered games as level 92 I was an "arrogant, high-level ,boss-stealing american pig bitch", or so says my teamates.
When I entered games as level 95, It was "YOU VERY STRONG GIVE ME SHIT!".
Enter as level 96 or above.....For some reason I am accknowledged as some kind of king, with infinite funds and the power to kill 8 dragons singlehandedly.

Kind of a drastic jump from being a pig bitch isn't it?

Now my games consist of this weird little hide and seek game. I get followed by a trio of level 50 item grabbers, who for some odd reason will stick to my tail like they are glued to my ass. If i pull a 360 they will be right behind me doing the same. If an item hits the ground I see it only for an instant before it is consumed by the little hoard. If I happen to pick up an item, the next 5 minutes of the game consists of them asking me exactly what I picked up, and the remainder of the time they beg for me to give it to them since "You don't need it, you have good shit".

I now get very few items, and for all that is good in me I can't shake the little bastards so I can grab a few specials. I wish I could just leave them to die, but the bastards carry scape dolls, and once they are resurrected they are on my ass tighter than ever. I have to wait 7 minutes before every boss fight so they can go back to town, even though I can easily keep them alive through the boss fight with reverser. If I take the boss myself I have to listen to them interogate me on every item I found after the boss fight, and if they can have it. To top it all off I don't even have a keyboard. I don't see the purpose in making private games since I don't need any more exp, and I really need to do some trading with other people.

Hell, sometimes they join my game late and I refuse to give them a telepipe. They just wait for me to beat a level and they take the big teleporter to join me. *&(%!

It's friggin weird. Really fucking weird. Maybe I'll get lucky and join some games where everyone isn't some little weirdo....but it hasn't happened yet. I wish some ammusing, fair-trading people would join my games, or just some people that I can give all of my unneeded items to and not have them beg for more the rest of the game. Why does everyone have to be so irritating? And just because I am level 100 why do they have to bother me? You'll all see how it is, I am sure most of you have already. Babysitting low-level Item whores.......

i no how it's like to... im not lvl 100 or any thing like that im lvl 51.. i try to b nice to lower lvl ppl and give them items to help them out but DAMN some ppl are SO greedy. I gave this 1 kid a launcher because he claimed that he lost his shot to the bug... knowing how it is to lose something to a bug i gave it to him and to be fair i gave a +1 beam to the other kid in the game. But the person i gave the launcher was satisfied with just a launcher he wanted a beam to. why can people just be happy and thankful some one as nice as me gave them things...... some people i just cant understand.

Cree, welcome to the club. At least you don't get labelled a cheater immediately. If your online and you see "Lyle" or "Omegaxboy" join our games. We're both members of this board and the same place/level as you. And we know what its like to play with low level item hogs.

hey heh this is auran and i made lvl 100 a couple of nights ago...heh i know how u feel, that happens to me a lot, but to piss the leeches off i use my favorite weapon and don';t let them get any exp:0 that usually helps heh. i use needle spread and i kill everything before the little bastards realize wth happend, and the really short delay on the weapon allows me to pick up most of the items if i feel like ithttp://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif in short , get a spread needle and use it to get the newb33z off ur @$$. if u wanna team up with another legit lvl 100, look for me at miranda block 7.

PS..the paralysys effect is nice..it allows me to paralyze anything...letting the newbies think they are lagged...and wait for the monsters to move again...so they sometimes stand around where the monsters are waiting for the items to drop, but i leave the room and the poor bastards get owned when the paralysis wears off:*(

Do the people that hoard your arse fight any? or just take items? If so, leave the game and play with higher levels. And if they are all the same play solo for a little on Offline until your satisfied.

I'm lvl 85 and noone hounds me ;p. I think that's because most people scanning through the available games see FOnewm and they quite correctly equate that to someone who has no or very few true rares (because they can't solo too well so they skimp on offline play and even in online games they only get the scraps left by the melee fighters) and they also probably think of someone who won?t be speeding them through mines/ruins v.hard because they can?t fight their way out of a wet paper bag ;p. I mean, I enjoy playing with lower players that aren't so aggrivating. I like guiding lower level players through very hard levels and helping them get experience, and I just cruise along and make sure they don't get swamped with something they can't handle. I also like giving away the special items I don't need. I even pass out cash now and then. But these bastards lately....they don't kill ANYTHING. I mean all they do is run for items and beg me for EVERYTHING. I end up killing the enemys while the 3 of them dodge in and out of enemy hoards trying to get to dropped items. Don't they realize that they need to level up before they can even use all those rares they found? I mean damn, it's ridiculous.

Well I guess I'll have to wait till I get higher in levels (43 right now), I still honestly don't get the idea though.

I usually mix my time with grouping with people I've already established are good, and try new ones. New ones that leave me to dance with a bunch of mobs while they go off breaking crates and looting I don't exchange cards with. If someone jams a card at you, you're not obligated to do the same if they're an annoying pain in the arse.

Here's a twist as well - a 40ish Force when I was 20ish helped me out some.. not a ton, but we got xp quicker and lobbed some spells my way. I didn't ask, he was just helpful. He lost his account, I tossed a whole batch of twink spells and gear his way and helped him level quicker. Had he not lost his account maybe I would not have been in a position to help him for quite awhile, but as it turned out I was more than happy to help him re-ramp up when it did. So maybe there won't be a lot of chance to 'get something out of it' if you're always ahead of them, but if that's your goal.. you might. Another hunter has tossed some extra rares at me out of the blue. I'm keeping an eye out for rares he might like. Good deal.

These are 2 of my 3 pages of cards, and the majority on my list have mine, some I didn't pass to but plan to 'try out' more.

Who knows you? Who gives a rats butt about you? Sorry to be a bit harsh, but.. you yourself are an admitted check/take everything most often soloing loot whore.

Now you want grouping friends and trading buddies. Starting at level 90+.

Umm. Ok.

Something tells me someone who's bothered to group all along the way and help others and traded/work with others just might have a different experience. And if you don't pass your cards out indiscriminately, you can't really have 'stalkers'. It's quite difficult to track those w/o cards. If they hit your hangout spots, password games and have either know pwords or people can mail you for them. Personally I think they could add a lot to the tracking and messaging system, but as it is, it should work more to your avoidance favor if you're careful.

In some ways this situation is a bit like EQ. You have people soloing and camping items and NOT wanting or letting others in, nor working with them. Till high levels where uber loot and gear become available. A couple good classes well designed for this is the druid and necromancer. Then the previously very ungiving characters want/need/cry for you to help them. Gee, wonder why they're low on the list, eh? Not true for all, heck one of the best pals in EQ I know is a druid. Point is though, it seems some of you might put yourselves in these positions, rather then be the poor victims of these nameless faceless loot whore greedy newbs that swarm on your leftovers.

I'm lvl 78(seems kinda low after reading this thread) and can hold my own... I've been able to unlock all the VH boards so I can play primarily in the ruins online, and lately I've been having these 40-45 guys joining and following me like flies on shit.. Actually started when this guy followed me for like 4 hours from caves on up.. I had to keep raising his rotting corpse, and I actually gave him a good weapon and a 4 slot armor I wasn't using anymore.. to repay me he got me killed and took my weapon.. o well.. now I play PW games I make, crappy items, but more xp, and invite players I trust... Then today I play b4 work, setup a game and this guy joins, lvl 70, so I figure he's ok. Then I see him abandoning monsters to get loot.. I know my games yield mostly crap so I could care less... but when I ask him if got anything.. he's like "that's for me to know" For god's sake.. I was just curious if my games were starting to yield anything productive.. What are you going to do.. that's what you get for playing with someone who's name is in CAPS.......

Hey, i am lvl 57 and I probably fight too much for my lvl unlike so many other people around my lvl..Seriously I can't even tell you how many times I have seen people around my lvl skip the fighting and go right for the crates...jerks..Most of u guys probably aren't interested in playing with me cause of my "low" level compared to u. I'm a low level person.. LVL 55 (never thought I would say that) and I know what you mean, most games I see some level 50 somethings like me, making a mad rush for the items in the middle of battle. Heck can't they wait till the baddies die? I pick up items, yes, but I just divy them up at the end, I don't keep hardly anything. These others are just a bunch of item hogs. I hope to see you online sometime, so I can play with a non item hog. Trust me I'm not ass hugging. I spend most of my time curing people, and freezing baddies with my spells... (even though I'm a hunter.)
