So my computer shut down completely on me.

I turn it back on and tons of pop ups ... well ... pop up. I close them and my desktop image is replaced by an ad for Spy/Adware removal(OH THE IRONY!). I right click and go to properties, but only get a tab for screen savers and screen size, nothing about desktop images or the other two that I forgot about.

Currently I have run a couple of my previously owned spy/adware removal programs and found stuff from porn sites, Kazaa and Limewire, and removed all of the crap, then uninstalled the Devil's programs, and ran Spy/Adware search again. Good, thats clean. Now I have Norton Anti Virus up to bat, and it's only 10% done and found about two viruses.


This is rediculous. I feel sorry for the roommate who installed Kazaa, and browsed porn when I was gone.

Why do you feel sorry for the roomate? Sounds like he was been an idiot.

Yeah I really dislike when people mess with a pc and leave it with a bunch of crap on it. I mean, get your own computer to mess up for christs sake >=(

Well for starters it bogged down my computer with ad and spyware, which suprisingly gave a lot more than Kazaa and Limewire together.

ill tell ya, if ur a dumb f*** then the porn will srew you over in a heart beat, but if youre smat like me then youll be fine, 90+ and spyware free after a quaterly check.

Clearly "other guy" room mate is a dumbfuck then. He managed to get 247 different porn sites to infect us, by merely looking at the free preview videos. What the fuck.


But as for the condition now, I managed to clean things up and updated Pest Patrol, Norton Anti Virus AND Zone Alarm, so things *might* be a bit better. No program gets access to the internet without permission thanks to the new version of Zone Alarm, and I'm fairly certain that with Windows and the Screen Saver passworded I can keep this computer for a bit longer. >_>
