The Inheritance trilogy is shaping up very nicely. :3
I loved Eldest just as much as Eragon, but the pacing in Eldest bothered me at times - the sections with Roran and the villagers were just not nearly as interesting as the sequences with Eragon in Ellesmera, so I tended to skip through them pretty quickly.
I am also hoping that Eragon gets a new sword, a sword that matches Saphira. That's always been a bit of a pet peeve of mine, actually. >_<

It's on my list of books to read for fun.
I may never get to it.

I still haven't read anymore in Eldest since Wazzy posted his thread about it.
But from what I have read, I certainly don't like it as much as Eragon. In fact, I wasn't as into it as I was Eragon in the begining of the book. Maybe it's just because Chris is going "one continuous story broken into three books." Which, is nice, but I don't quite like how he started Eldest.
I hated the end of Eragon, it went way too slow for me or way too fast. (I'm not asking for a DBZ time frame though. ;p ) So natrually, Eldest starting right where Eragon left off, kinda made me mad.
Aaaaand, because I'm mean ( http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif ):
What I said in Wazzy's thread:
I went to Kroger a day before the actual release of the book.
40% off, and out for sell a DAY early. ;p

I finished Eldest a couple of days ago and I am waiting for the third to come out but thats mostly because I like to finish a story once I start it. I figure that their might be a blue sword (or sword that can change color) under the tree. I also hate what happened to Murtahug(sp) but guessed the twist give Everything I'd read about Eragon's family and his namesake.
