I'm fairly certain there isn't anything in the PSO Network settings that says default router, but depending on your setup, you probably need to have everything set to automatic. You need to describe how you are trying to connect and what your setup is going to be.
Dialup or broadband?
If broadband, what type? Cable, DSL, T connection?
If DSL, is it PPPOE or PPPOA?
Who is your ISP?
Will you be using a direct connect from the modem to the BBA? Or will you be using a router, switch or hub?

Heh you couldn't have cable internet and have an ADSL modem http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif So, judging from your router, you have DSL. Is your router also the modem? I'm assuming it is because I checked out the BT site and see that they offer a modem/router with their BT Broadband and BT Yahoo Broadband DSL service. If thats the case, you are allowed to have 1 more machine connected to the router (which will be your GC obviously.) So whether the router assigns the GC an IP or if it is handed out by BT it shouldn't really matter, you probably need to have everything set to obtain automatically.
I'm sure there are other BT users here at PSOW so if you are still having problems, then hopefully one of them can jump in and help out. Technically what I suggested should work (provided no ports are blocked.) After your GC BBA receives and IP address for its MAC, you should be ready to roll. Many ISPs are providing modems (or modem/routers) that store the username and password internally so that you don't need to "logon" to use the service. If your ISP does not provide that type of equipment, and if you are required to logon, then you will need to enter your username and password into the PSO Network options screen. If using PPPOE (which I highly doubt) make sure to select "USE PPPOE".
Most likely your service is PPPOA. Do you have to use installed software in order to connect? I'm not necessarily talking about an install disk, because sometimes those are only used to get your username and password over to the modem (mainly for people who don't know/can't access the modem manually and enter that info in) and once that happens you no longer use any type of CPE software to connect.

hmm, when it's set to auto it never retrieves an IP from the DH(or whats it called)

hmm, i am not sure what you mean about installing softwar in order to connect, if you mean EVERYTIME i go online, then thats a no i think, but i am not too sure

One thing I forget to mention is that once you get the GC BBA connected to the modem, you may need to powercycle the modem. To do that, unplug the power cord for the modem for a few seconds, then plug it back in and let it come back up, then try getting online with your GC. Sometimes a powercycle is needed to 1) recognize a new machine on the network. 2) refresh the tables (ip included). Let us know if the powercycle helps you to get an IP for the BBA.
