So does PSUniverse have an offline mode as well as an online mode? I enjoyed being able to still play when the internet went out.

Yes. But you can only use created characters in online play. Offline, you're stuck with Ethan and his gang.

ummm thats probably the lamest thing I've ever heard.

edit: Do not use 'gay' just for a degrading purpose; use it properly, please.

Actually no, considering the purpose of the offline mode is to follow a set story.
Tell me how many other offline RPGs let you create your character (completly from scratch, without using a base character as a template in some way) and follow a story from that character's perspective and personal past experiences?

Don't say PSO; it follows a story from the perspective of everyone else except your character, who's just carried along by them so that you can watch it. Your character's story isn't even mentioned since the game takes into consideration that he/she/it has none.

Probably the best explination I've seen.

But just for future reference, PLEASE LOOK AROUND FOR TOPICS OF THE SAME NATURE, THIS QUESTION HAS BEEN ASKED TWO TIMES ALREADY.

...Next time if you have any questions at all and I mean AT ALL! then read the damn sticky "So what do we know for sure about the game?"

Can somebody please lock this topic now?

Who died and made you moderator? You are not at liberty to request locking a thread that another user made.

1: Nobody died and made me anything. 2: It's called freedom of speech, i'm not threatening, or imposing on anothers freedom i'm just asking to put an end to something that's been written somewhere else, new members should read the thread that tells all the facts about the game, not just post a topic that has a really obvious answer. I don't mean to cause trouble but it's been said in videos, posts, topics, etc... and I was asking a simple question, you didn't have to over react and bite my damn head off.

As stated before there is offline but you will control Ethan and crew as for online you will have your own character.

I just hope that that green cast with the bad ass rifle on this page, http://www.jeux-france.com/Webmasters/Images/3056520050908_141829_2_big.jpg , is part of the "crew".

I'm pretty sure you will only be able to play as/with that green cast in online mode if you create your own because in that picture you posted he's in the same box as that evil guy. Just my opinion...

Well I'm guessing that you'll be able to be him in offline because I think that all of the characters they show there play into the offline story some how.

Not necessarily BE him but definitely be in contact with him. I think hes one of the 'rebels' siding with Magashi (if its the one Im thinking of). For all we know, we can turn them to the side of 'good.' I can pretty much guarantee one person will get sick & or die, 1 will change sides, 1 will get lost...you know, the craziness that makes RPGs FUN to play! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

But if you look at the picture below him, he's with that lady with the white boots from this page http://www.jeux-france.com/Webmasters/Images/3056520050908_141828_1_big.jpg and in the small picture near her, she's with him. If she's a good guy (probably a lame word) I'd bet that the coool cast is also a good guy too. I think he's next to Magashi because he's another cast, not because they're both bad. But hey, I could be wrong and you could be right.

The 'lady' that you refer to is Maya Shidou, my vote for Yummy Female Newman for 2005/2006. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Hope to see more pics of her & find out how she fits into the story.

Maya Shidou for Yummy Female Newman for 2005/2006, huh? A good choice, but who are the other candidates? LOL I would like to see more pics of her too. Even better, another pic of her with the cast. I'd say it's a safe bet that she's on Ethan's side and I'm hoping that Mr. Big Green Cast is too. What's his name??? If anyone knows it, please fill me in. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Even tho a newman (originally numan) is made up of biomonster data, after Nei/Neifirst (the original), theyve for the most part, been inherently good. I can tend to trust them as on the side of good, with notable exceptions: ex. the leader of Black Paper. Something about FOnewms...I dont trust em. LOL Sneaky lil jesters! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
