Apparently, they are considering adding PSU to a next gen console. I'm thinking it probably won't be the PS3, and more like the XBox360, depending on how Sega continues it's liking for that console.

Also, it talks about how the soundtracks for PSU will sound. Like PSO, expect the wonderfully orchestrated music http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

They still havn't decided how they are going to do the payment plan for playing online, but i'm sure that will be cleared up in the future.

Oh, and here's the best part: the tentative Japanese release date is December 30, 2005. So that means the American/North American release date can't be that far off http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

This isnt new news. Its a POSSIBILITY that a next-gen system MAY get it but it hasnt been confirmed. Also, expect if it does happen it may not be for a good year or so. So, expect PSU to be exclusively for PS2/PC for now. As for the dates, all types of dates have been announced including the one you stated. When it becomes 'official' meaning that everyone is saying the same date, then it can be considered as such. Its a good indicator to go by as the JP release seems to be Dec no matter what. Unfortunately the US has a window of Feb-May & thats still not final. As for online payments, they know. Its just something that theyre not gonna announce as of yet. Stall tactics to wait til the last minute. Around the time of or the actual release of the JP version, will we hear how much online payment will be.

if it happens, it'll be much like ver 2. An expansion which contains the original game as well.

So does this mean that when it comes out for a next gen system that the graphics will be better? and I guess if not, then this really only affects XBOX players because PS2 discs will be compatible for PS3.

Ugh, do we HAVE to have another topic talking about versions for other systems? We talked about this ad nauseum already. Its NOT going to happen anytime soon. Your only choices are to get 1 of the 2 incoming versions or NOT get the game. Its been said to death already. PLEASE let this go...

I knew about PSU longer than pretty much most of the ppl on this site. Ive been waiting & waiting & WAITING for some more concrete info. I guess it was fate that when I returned to the site after my long absence that there was such info (FINALLY). I saw screen shots (which turned out now to be video stills) long ago. I was impressed then, as I am now. This game is gonna be nuts & to those that catch on late, Ill be able to say "I told ya so!" http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I bet you didn't know about it when I did. I was freaking standing right next to Yuji Naka and his translator waiting for an autograph and a handshake, but he told his translator to tell me that he wanted "me" to watch something first, than he would give me an autograph. It turned out to be the greatest thing I have ever seen. The first trailer of PSU(needless to say I screamed like a little girl when I saw the title) After that Naka-san shook my hand and than signed my Blue SP with his signature. ^_^

...Wow! That has got to be the luckiest thing I have ever heard of! ::day dreams that it happened to him:: That's just freakin' sweet!

So what you're saying is Yugi Naka is pretty damn cool? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Idk if I can believe this story but if you say it happened, I cant dispute. I take it you travelled to Japan for this? Ive known about the game a good long while. Definitely longer than this site was talking about it, Im sure. I caught pics here & there but then it was silence up & til rather recently when all this great commotion started it up again! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Yuji Naka threatened to quit Sega a long time ago. Actually, he's done this numerous times. He also likes ferraris.

True story.

If thats true, it doesnt surprise me that Sega's pissing off their good devs. They treated 1 of my fave developing teams wrong & they left the Sega camp years ago. They need to cut that crap out!

I was being ignorant...I totally assumed you guys knew I was talking about e3 2004. The year when sega was in a small little area instead of being in the main halls. I think they were in Kentia or some hall starting with a C. I can't remember really.
