in the last hour ive read about 5 posts of people losing their characters, and I've decided that I can't afford to play again before I've backed up my character. I tried to yesterday (by way of browser email,) but I seem to be unable to send email with my dreamcast. it always says that the mail host is busy. the only other thing I can think of is something along the lines of that site which converts and emails you pso snapshots. could anybody do a site like that that would just send the file to your email? thanks a ton

hey bud, i always used to get that same host is busy message. make sure you go into your email options and set the pop3 and smtp lines correctly! when i got my browser from sega, it had some att.net crap already filled in there and that was making me get the host is busy error. here is how to set it up if you have any problem!

Changing Your E-Mail Account Settings
Your e-mail account settings can be changed at any time by pressing START and choosing OPTIONS on the command cluster. Thing brings you to the Required Settings screen. Next click on Email Account. Fill in the fields as followed:

E-mail Login: your username
E-mail Password: your password
E-mail Address: yourusername@sega.net

Incoming Server (POP3): pop(first letter of username).sega.net
ex: username "dave": popd.sega.net
Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail(first letter of username).sega.net
ex: username "dave": maild.sega.net

Next click on OK. This will take you back to the Required Settings screen. Click on SAVE at the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Be sure not to turn off or reset your Dreamcast before saving the new info.

Checking and Sending E-Mail on a Dreamcast

this is for sega net accounts of course, but i'm sure you can figure out what parts to change for your isp http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

sorry bud, you should call sega tech help or something tho cause it's supposed to work heh. the only non-email way that i THINK works without corruption, is with that nexus memory card w/ the pc link cable.
