Without references, those are pretty good... I dunno if this pertains to you, but I find myself drawing best in class sometimes...

Normally I find that I can draw characters far more fluidly without any reference at hand. Just because I dont get caught up in all the details, so I just draw what I can remember most about the character. Thats good because its really more important to capture the FEEL of a character rather than all the nit-picky details. For instance, the tenticles on your De Rol Le arnt EXACTLY what they actually look like, but you did remember how they look cool the way they wave along with the creature's movements, and it makes the drawing very interesting.

Acctually strange thought this may sound while the Dragon dosent' look much at all like the acctual dragon it does capture the fact that it is a good deal larger that your dude no mater how tall or whatever you make him/her.

Yea, like I said, I couldn't remember many of the details so I winged it. But I was trying to get the heigh difference in there.
