SEGA are taking special precautions to try and put a stop to cheating on PSO GC. Featuring a special SNAP system
have just read this at this forum (http://rtm3000.proboards7.com/) but what is it (SNAP system) any one have clue?

i think that was mentioned around here too... but it sounds like a some sorta system that will be in place in order to (hopefully) prevent cheaters ruining the game for everyone else. although with new codes being made it will have to be updated at least semi regularly...
(which as we all know sega will probably have trouble doing)

If you've ever played CounterStrike or one of the big shooter games, they usually have some sort of anti-cheat program running on the server. It looks for changed files, out-of-bounds data, and that sort of thing. I would guess SNAP is Sega's dedicated anti-cheat initiative.

yea but everyones found a way around HLguard, and some cheats even get past CSguard.....the lamers out there.

All I know that it is a precaution for cheating. Ive seen it on PSunlimited

They should rename it to FSOS (False sense of security)
