Yeah, just seeing that makes me more pissed/afraid than excited.
Pissed because:
Paul W.S. Anderson is the pick for adaptation and directing of this movie. I hated his version of Resident Evil and I know I'm gonna hate his version of Castlevania.
Despite how much I want to see this game brought to the bigscreen, you gotta look at all other games made into movies; how'd they turn out? Heh
Excited:
It's Castlevania, do I need a better reason?

Mixed response from me. I love Castlevania, but I feel it wont translate to the big screen well. Paul Anderson didnt do too bad on Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil in my own opinion, but I think he will be challenged with this one.

Oh god. >_<
I'm excited, but also very fucking worried. If he treats the material right, we could get something very awesome: a serious portrayal of one of the Belmonts (or Soma http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif) waging warfare against Dracula and his minions, or we could get a goofy, stupid, popcorn/summer movie with lots of stupid jokes and explosions.
I really hope it's the former.

Damn. Wes Anderson is the all time biggest raper of classic video games when transfering them to the big screen. He totally ruined Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat, Alien Vs. Predator, and if I'm not mistaken, Tomb Raider.
Then again, it's Castlevania. I'll still see it, especially since I get into the movies for free.
Edit: I will admit that I love his version of Mortal Kombat because it's just so freaking ridiculous and funny, but it wasn't even in the same ballpark as the game.

CupOfCoffee, on a side note, it's "rapist" not "raper". :3
Personally, I'm just glad that Uwe Boll isn't directing this. >_<;

You say rapist, I say raper, you say potato... I say... however you spell it where it sounds wrong...

I haven't played too many castlevania games, but i hope this movie turns out okay.
there have been so many horrible vampire movies, that i think we need a good one. and this could be the closest we get.
sure, i hated the mortal kombat movies, but they might have learned theirlesson by now.
so let's all cross our fingers and hope for the best. it beats the hell out of whining.

Well, as long as it isn't like Van Helsing, we should be okay. That portrayal of Dracula pained me to no end.

not to try and pull things off topic, but that move was horrible.
I think they can't do much worse than that.
