Ok, I know this seems rather odd but when playing through Ultimate mode online did the difficulty suddenly spike ever?

I mean on Saturday night my mate and I went through the Ultimate Ruins (again). The thing is the creatures where doing more damage than usual. When we got to Falz 3rd form he was doing around 1290 damage with his slash. Whenwe first beat him we were both 118 and it was a cake walk, now I was 131 and my friend was 132 and we barely made it out alive.

Tell me, has anyone else experienced such things in any of the stages? Sometimes it gets way harder for no apparent reason?

Well, I wouldn't say that I once experienced such damage boost, but I have to say that often, the dam Arlans were, all of the sudden, running faster and striking faster then Delsabres X_X. Must be some lag or something, yet, I can't figure out the damage thing O_o ??

Beats have nothing to do with anything except time, which is only time, and has nothing to do with the game other than telling you what time it is.

Both stat and item wise, ultimate mode isn't too player friendly. When making the jump from other modes (normal to hard, hard to v-hard) there is a noticeable difference in the enemy stats, but the game helps you buy giving you good items.

Going from v-hard to ultimate is probably closer to going from normal to v-hard than normal to hard. The weapons you have from the previous difficulty won't be all that effective, the enemies' stats are insane when compared to the previous mode, and you're scrambling around, praying that you find something to help you out.

I've had that happen plenty of times.

I've always thought that I might have been tired and therefor slower on the buttons or sumthin'.....

.....but yeah, I especially remember that some nights Vol Opt was easy and other nights he was a pain in the ass.

Adjustable enemy A.I.? Who knows? If they can add a Christmas tree to a lobby, I'm sure that they can change THAT too, huh?

Im pretty sure that DF in ultimate mode had a set damage number for his swipe. something liek what u said, but its never different. Maybe you were high. Or maybe you wer ein a v hard game by accident, lol, i dunno.

I was level 31 with P-Arms blades (hacked) when I took DF offline and slaughtered the guy. Then, at lev 43, I played with another dude using a less powerful wep, and DF lucked out by freezing me, leaving him wide open to his other techs.

I'm guessing Ult DF doesn't take a certain amount of HP, but maybe a certain percent, causing more damage than originally.

The monsters always do more damage online than offline. Online, Ultimate D.Falz does 1280 damage with his swipe, and nothing can block or modify, it's ALWAYS 1280. Offline though, he's much weaker, I think he does maybe 1/2 or less of that damage.

The monsters in Normal->V.Hard do give more XP online than offline tho. I don't remember Ultimate doing this however, I vaguely remember it was the same either way. Then again, it's been several months since I've been online, so I don't know for sure.

1. We beat Ult DF before at a lower level with the same weaps. Didn't seem to as much damage then...

2. No forces just a HUcast and a HUmar, even got up to the Mines in challenge with just us 2 (need more practice still tho)

3. True, it is far more like the jump between Normal and Very Hard

4. I think what happened was a random occurance, as my friend has noted tis offline once or twice the enemies have got stronger. I'm guessing that sometimes it pumps up the difficulty on you, in the same way that when I was shooting DF one critical did 1500 and the rest did about 1200. Just one of those things I suppose...
