I think it's more of an advertisement poster than the real cover, even though it may end up being the real cover.

I say this mainly because the "black stripe" at the top saying PlayStation 2 is too thin (their size is always standard) and also because it says the release date at the bottom left corner.

The "white box" at the bottom right corner with an equally white CD/DVD is most likely the current concept of the game's cover.

Yeah, I thought that white one was the cover for PSU. I've seen it a few times before. This one does look more like a poster, but it's a little less plane-jane than the all white one (though I wouldn't mind either)...

This is an advert, and the white book and CD are the artbook and soundtrack pre-order bonuses.

The advert art does look like boxart so I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out the same.

I had seen the white box with matching DVD, thinking thats how it would be released. If it were, Id accept it. Idk tho, seeing white like that? Nah. Last time I saw a white box for a PS game was the game that started it all. Thats fine. Id prefer a black cover & seeing this one is pretty good. Obviously, thats the JP version, so dont expect it to be exactly the same when it comes out here. From a design standpoint, I would not put both Karen and Mirei on the same side of it, especially not right next to eachother, and I'd put Leo in there as well to keep an even number because I like symmetry and the heavy right balance with the bright purple hair draws your eye too much and you don't really see Tylor. What's currently above Tylor is completely unidentifiable at this size and looks to be either out of place or potentially something/somebody cut off by the logo. Mirei is also further distracting as following her gaze leads you out of the picture entirely, they should move her to the unidentifiable thing's location so her gaze draws you back towards the centre and put Leo in her current position facing in or at least foward, which would even out the composition.

What's currently above Tylor is completely unidentifiable at this size and looks to be either out of place or potentially something/somebody cut off by the logo. It's the Landeel, Tylor's and Rogues's Space Ship o_o'

Also, is it just me or is Ethans upper body/head too small? It might be an illusion as there are the larger characters above him, making the overlaping part look too small/our of place. Otherwise, I like it.

You see exaggerated body parts throughout all forms of media like movie posters, anime, etc. Give the main character a heroic pose, the villain looming in the background & the support chars on various sides. Going on this image it shows Tylor on 1 side, the girls on the other for a reason. Perhaps to have the player THINK Tylor is a 'bad' guy or an unknown. This way you can try to figure out where he stands. We could criticize it or analyze the hell out of it...or just think the image is pretty cool. The fact that we can talk about it means it was a good overall design, dont ya think?

Well what can you say. Magashi seems pretty up himself anyway - if he's going to pull the whole "I am the Robot King!" speech frequently, he may as well have the tools to back up such a claim! I can just tell this game is going to be full of brilliant unintended innuendo, everything from Ethan and the good Doctor (http://www.pso-world.com/images/psu/11-27/11-27-screen4.jpg), to the endless implications of Lumia.

As for Tylor, I'm a bit puzzled by his inclusion. I mean, I've probably just been a bit dense, but I don't understand how central to things he is over say, Leo, Tonnio or even Hyuga. Maybe it's just because he's the whole psuedo-'cool' antihero guy. It's pretty much a given that'll he'll be the moody middle-ground mercenary type who ultimate aids Ethan towards the end after understanding his quest and respecting his fight(!), blah blah blah. Still, I've never really payed much attention to his goofy 'X' scar either, until now. Oh what fun stories will come of it, I'm sure.

Of course, they've been pretty secretive about another main character, Mirei, the whole flaky "I use 'white magic'" user who is all-so holy and pure and radiant with inner cosmic power tra-la-la the planet bleeds. And then there's the fun assumption of love triangles and everything. What a fun 40ish hours Offline mode is going to be!

Looking at it, it does look a bit wierd having the two Newman girls right together like that (no not like that you dirty minded wretches), with the sameish hair colours and clothing shades, and blimey, Karen is turning into Sue with that pout!
