It might be interesting though, if your ID ends up representing your ingame backbone ID. As in, a global handle for people to get you by. We might end up using it for something like global private messaging or friends lists, regardless of your active character.

It's doubtful, but it's something that could be put to use, and has been pulled off quite well in other games; City of Heroes, FFXI (PlayOnline friends/chat list, which then went ingame and stuff), come to mind, and didn't PSO have something like this to a degree? Sure it wasn't an ID as such, but a global recognition thing like an IP address existed within the Guild Card system, in the way you could have someone on your 'list' and search to see whoever and wherever they were on, and send messages or meet up, even if they weren't on the original character who gave you the card.

That said, I haven't registered yet.. perhaps I should go get on that. I want the free bonus item!

Yes, because it even works to compile your SEGA Link friendlist, meaning you need to know other people's ID to invite them in.
As long as you don't give out your pass, you're safe.

Maybe once this game is released, we can compile a list of IDs so english players can easily meet and play together. Since there are no teams in PSU, this woud be the easiest way to meet up with people.

I'm in the same boat Sinue...I might import it but don't know if my crappy intel integrated graphics can handle it...and if that's the case, I guess i'll be buying a PCI Radeon 9250 card before year end.

As I mentioned in another thread, I do have another one, but wanted/needed to make another for this due to a weird problem with the other one. Oddly though the problem seems to have followed me, so I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm not sure if it affects anyone else or not though. The problem is that I can't seem to add money to my account. Now if it's only me, then I'd like some help in trying to solve the problem. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif If it's not only me, then it could lead to payment issues down the road.
