Xbox v2 wont be a mere port lol, it'll probably just be a port of the GC version with a few updates.

This year's TGS, TOkyo Game SHow, Sega will be showing PSO Xbox...so wait till sept 20th-23rd(I think)....and you will know what XBox version is...June seems a long time, but it's better than a rushed ver.2 port, imo...a lot better...

Right now X-box pso is a few pictures and a bunch of words that confirm nothing so its best to just not worry about it until st says something which should be real soon we will probaly get some new info in the next month or so.

wait.... so lemme understand. pso for gc comes out in not too long, while on xbox, we wont be seeing it for over a year?

I'm sure the decision to port to xbox was not made at the same time as the GC. They probably took a "wait and see" approach to the xbox, and I know in Japan at least it's not exactly breaking sales records so it's probably not extremely high priority. After the port is finished, even if the xbox version sells poorly, they'll be able to crank out a PC port from it without much trouble.

Seeing how ST did a black-out over Xbox PSO, we may not have much info even from TGS.
BUT, we will surely have some for the official launch date of Xbox Live! in Japan, which amounts to the same for us.
Indeed, if such a delay is confirmed, they would have the time to port the GC version.
It is somewhat understandable that M$ wants to pile-up a good amount of Live! games before launching on the market that has been the most difficult to deal with.

I'd love that to happen, but not if the link up is that late in the life of GC's version of PSO.

I always felt that there would have been time to port PSO to the xbox regardless, but this pretty much seals the deal. With almost one extra year dev time I for one would love to see a new episode hehe. I am sure we can at the very least expect some new rares.

wheni first heard news of PSo GC and xbox, the site (maybe gamespot cant remember) sed they two were sposed to be compatible online, then shortly after they sed they had takwen that option out but that there should be no problem with GC and ps2 being compatible online for future games.... multi systems would be bangladoo!!!

The only thing that I'm wishing for has already been mentioned.
I'd love to see linking enabled.....modem to modem or otherwise.
As far as waiting? I'm playing on both systems anyways, as are many people. I'm willing to wait for as long as Microsoft will deem necessary in order to get something unique when compared to the Cube. I don't want to see the XboX get the same thing as what the Cube gets and vice versa.

Unreal Championship will own my TV for awhile... After that it'll be Panzer Dragoon and Mech Assault.
