Online Fee Revealed?

Sega announced the online service fee for the PS2/PC online RPG Phantasy Star Universe, the cost for the first 30 days is 1260 yen (US$10.5), an additional 1050 yen (US$8.7) for subsequent months. PC and PS2 players can play on the same game servers.

That bit about PS2 and PC being on the same servers is new. I wonder if that is a definitive confirmation or a possibility....

Thats not too bad of a price. I was expecting more so this is a pleasant suprise.

Hopefully that is a confirmation of PC and PS2 players being on the same servers, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Wait...an ADDITIONAL $8.7?
So after the first month it's $19.3 per month if we do a direct currency conversion huh?
That's quite a bit for me since I'm poor...and I'll assume this answers the free first month question too so I can't even see if I'd like it. T__T

Oh well, I'll just base my decision on everyone's opinion of online play then.

I don't think it is meant to be taken like that. It was my interpretation that the 1050 yen would not be on top of the 1260 yen. $19 would be an outrageous amount to pay per month.

well its nice that the fees are comparable to other online games... hard to say for mmos because they get a lot of shit... I guess... (not diablo 2 though)

No foolish one, the fee goes down a few dollars after the first month.

Well if ST said that they are not going to do many updates then I don't think it really justified the price imo, especiall the first month price. I know it's like comparing other mmo but the others give more content then ST is planning to give according to what they been saying in interviews.

Especially with no trial period that we know of.

Guess I will just do offline for awhile.

Heh, that's a pretty good price for going online. Not too bad at all. Affordable...Yes. A lot cheaper than we all expected ($15.00). And even better considering that this is PS! Good news.
