Interesting article in today's New York Times about Chinese online gaming farms where they collect items, sell accounts and raise characters for rich lazies:

Kind of makes you wonder where the online gaming community is going.

Nothing new though. Funny how it's just another form of sweatshop. These people work for something like 56cents an hour, the higher-ups and in-charge of the 'end result sales' make thousands.

When I use to play Ragnarok Online, you could go to E-bay and other stores and buy virtual zenny,items and accounts for real money but you can be banned if found out.

When PSO for the Dreamcast first came out, the character used by IGN was put to sale one month after that on eBay or something. I heard it got its price high.
