Voice over mic ability?

Ok I'm not sure but back a while ago I saw a 30 minute or so video of PSU. During one part of the segment, the girl (who looks like she was cosplaying) had put on a headset (with upmost difficulty I must say LOL.) Unfortunly I can't understand any Japanese (except a couple of words like baka and neko.)

My question is does the game contain the possibility to allow people to wear headsets with microphones in order to allow voice over chat?

I doubt it. The main component of communication involves Cut-in chat. Seems to be highly keyboard involved so I doubt voice will be included. Having broadband, ST COULD do voice (& believe me, I wish they would). However, its doubtful. yea like Odin said i doubt it cuz many MMOs dont use the mics cuz they cant filter the PROFANITY.

The main 'technical' reason why its not used often is because say in a lobby of 100ppl, all that talking would cause major freezeups & shutdowns. Idk how it worked for PSO on Xbox as I never played it there. However, from playing an MMO, having group voice helps out immensely. Imagine a monster coming towards 1 of your groupmates. By the time you say look out, dude is already smacked. Sometimes even the fastest typist cant get out the msg quick enough! LOL

Yeah but we dont know how its going to work anyway. Will they have a dedicated option JUST for groups? If so, that would be great. PMs & mails arent enough. Having group options would be great. Avoid the need to shout & typing in group mode (once in the field) is much faster than PMing individual ppl. I hope this was taken into consideration.

Just use Teamspeak or Ventrillo.

As others mentioned, TeamSpeak & Ventrillo would be good options for the PC version. I think those programs out-perform pretty much any built-in voice chat that I've seen in games. The only downside is that you need a server to connect to, but they are not very expensive.

You cant have voice chat on the PC & not PS2 & expect the servers to be linked. With linked servers, program wise, everything would be about the same, wouldnt it?

Using Mic>Typing. I would rather use a mic, I doubt it would happen though. This ISN'T an FPS game afterall.

I agree, Id rather have voice. I just dont know how theyre gonna have linked servers with different programs running for different versions.
