Steaming = Bad!!!

Can someone please find a way of downloading those movie files. Steaming movies are not only bad (popping and glitching constantly on slower connections) but you can't watch them again without downloading them again and they waste bandwith big time.

Yep, streaming is definately the worst thing ever, is there a way to download it?

The "demo" at the title screen seems decent enough. It features all the major characters.

I caught the tail-end of someone creating a Human female for online play. The choice of dresses and shoes were fairly impressive. Too bad they reset the machine after that.

EDIT: I'll let the media player run for a little bit and Hypercam anything that looks interesting.

Interesting... something I noticed in the video, I wonder if they'll be bringing ship to ship battles from Skies of Arcadia into play as well.

Well, I wish I had something positive to say for my 1000th post (YAY! 1000! OK that will have to do). Unfortunately, streaming of 2 ppl who are either working on a model or filing their nails was neither appealing nor worth my time. In fact, my comp froze up & I had to shut almost everything net-based down. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif So, to anyone who's seen anything interesting in the stream, what did you see?

Okay, so...

video 1: let's see, no audio; title sequence contains mostly old news; is that a cream soda?; hm, half an hour later, bored. must have missed something.

video 2: clapping; PSO BB; christmas dancing; Forests; lots of talking, which for a brief time seemed related to character customisation in PSU; the end.

interestingly, there is quite a bit coming up on PSOLive this weekend, right? will have to check back.

As we get into morning/afternoon (Japan time), activity on the first cam should pick up a little.

The gaming industry isn't all fun and games, though. They work some crazily long hours trying to meet deadlines. Relaxing tends to come around when a big project is nearing completion (like with Phantasy Star Universe). You have to really love coding to work their kind of job... I personally can't stand more than 30 minutes of it.

Anyone interested in HUcast and RAcaseal model kits? They're the ones that were being demonstrated by Miyoshi in the second video, which seems to rotate here and there.

Look here (http://www3.osk.3web.ne.jp/%7Ekaiten/gallery/hucast/arms2/05-12-21.html).

Oh, no doubt. I work with hardware mostly...and this junk is constantly breaking. Argh...no respite at all. There are many a day I wish I was coding =._.=(/vent)

Anyways, those are some really nice kits.
So nice I need to figure out how to get my hands on some...

When I was watching earlier today, there were a couple of people eating cake and holding up strange FOmar signs. One of them produced a Santa Claus-like candy, bit its head off, and proceeded to hold the remainder up to the camera.

Just show us some gameplay!

Since people like to use ASX streaming files which not only doesn't give me a chance to save the file to view later but it also chews up bandwith if I have to watch it again. I wish Microsoft never went to great lengths to allow "support" for the blasted format.

I mean its ok for "live" shows (which I didn't know at the beginning so I don't read Japanese) but when it comes to just plain movie files being streamed, it makes me angry that I can't save it for later viewing. *grumbles*

Off the top of my head, she was Lacus Clyne in Gundam SEED (also: Ethan has the same voice actor as Yzak, and Hyuga has the same voice actor as Athrun; Tylor is voiced by the guy who did the masked villain) and I think she did some evil character in Rozen Maiden. A full (or at least mostly) list is here (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=697)

Rie Tanaka is still doing Rozen Maiden right now... doing Rozen Maiden: Traumend which is a great series.

She also did .hack//sign as Morganna

Ver. 1.0000

So, I guess they've finished it.

Ok, I've always been one who's not big into speculation, but with the mention of ver 1.0 I just HAVE TO. Anyone else thinking this is a sign of a worldwide release? I mean usually when a game is finished it should go gold into production and for sale. Anyone thinking that they're just waiting for the localization to finish for a worldwide release in february. I can tell you I'm crying right now in anticipation. CRYING!

PrinceBrightstar

Its obvious. The game has gone gold and is currently in pressing.

I wouldn't go so far to say it's already in pressing...
but now they'll be able to focus a little less on further development, and more on network stability, marketing, and the eventual rollout February 16th.

From my understanding, based on a Gamespot interview video from months ago, they've been doing just that these last few months. The game for all intents and purposes, is finished.

Well then, I can't wait to try out said finished product.

Personally I rather they bug-test the game first. Remember, a bug free game makes a gamer happy. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

A game full of bugs makes a gamer want to storm up to the maker and slap them 360 ways to Sunday. XD

Seeing as how Im not living in Japan, to me, a release date is one for my country? That being the US. Japan dates are nice & all but it doesnt directly affect the US. MY release date is for whenever the US date is announced. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
