LINK! (http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:-oZFQDPKssUJ:boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php%3Fboard%3D516243%26topic%3D25081955 +pso+world&hl)

I wasn't on gamefaq's browsing the message boards or anything, I just typed "pso world" into google when I couldn't load the page with my links.

This came about on the first page of results. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Just for the record, I think all of our item drop information is correct. If we are missing one, I do not know about it. In regards to drop rate information, there are some items that still need to have all of their fields filled in. We have Getintothegame working on that. *cracks whip* Most people do not realize how much time is required to build and maintain an Item DB. PSOW's DB has hundreds of items and several thousand pictures. The drop rate information requires you to fill in information for several hundred fields. Also, gamefaq's drop rates can be fairly inaccurate on lower difficulties...

*smacks everyone*

Well, they're coming along. The only thing we're missing are some Ep2 Box Drops because by some act of God, Lolli/eRUPT/Salad made the box drops look funny. ...and we then deleted them, not realizing what we did.

Al Rappy = box, apparently.

I believe we amended in the meeting of PSO-W #780, which was shortly after the parade of Wackos.

^ Of course you did, you did drink 700 bottles of GOD that night (which is roughly 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 of my supply.)

I wouldn't call this a cross-forum flamewar. If anything, we are just correcting some unfounded misperceptions. Now if Getintothegame or Hayabusa had taken the opportunity to call gamefaqs.com a "wretched pit of uninformed HUmar-users" that would have been different.

Technically, they would've been more correct had this been a few months ago.

Chances are, many of the people disclaiming PSOW as having no rates haven't necessarily checked back recently. Granted there are still a few holes.

What was perhaps the biggest problem was the destruction of the ABILITY to add the drop rates and edit outdated information. No one still around had the power to do anything about it. It's not like we didn't care. We'd even use the IGN charts in posts as a reference in the meantime. I have nothing against the charts.

Also to point out, as has been stated somewhere in that thread, PSOW still has a few positives to consider. Using BOTH as a cross reference can help.

The guides themselves are also a different story.

I noticed they aren't saying "Man, GameFAQ's PSO guides and information are far superior to anything else on the internet!"

Yes, this is true.
I wouldn't even see this as a personal attack anyways, as it's pretty much the truth, but we also couldn't do much about it for a good deal of time, and we're working towards completing it.

Even I'd use IGN charts back when I played on GC.

So the thread is basically correct. Now that we're able to work on it though, it should change in time.

I meant that in the sense that GFAQs users aren't supporting GFAQs.

There are actually a TON of missing drop rates.

Seriously. There are.

Heh, I wasn't attempting to start any cross forum flame wars. Apologies for that, in advance(?)!

Well that person said "this place should have more up to date info since the game has been around for soo long," and etc.

That was quite mean spirited. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

In any event I used PSOW as a main resource for PSOW items findings and such first. Printable .pdf charts were good stuff and I saved the web pages of HeyFool's IGN charts to my comp as soon as I heard about them. (basically years after they were released)

Since this is FKL:

"People still play PSO?"

Point them out to us, and either Get or myself will enter in the data. It will take quite a while for just the two of us to go through each item.

It's easy to say there are mistakes when you don't help fix them.

If you spot some items that have missing drop rates, please report it in Site Related. Either Get, Ketchup, or I will fix it when we get a chance.
