On the neo-geo forums they have it so a persons signature only shows once per topic. I think this is a good idea for 2 reasons.
1.You don't have to see some people's annoying sigs as much.
2.Pages finish loading faster from not so much graphics.
um.. Maybe more that I can't think of right now. Maybe PSOW could do this?

Each image only has to load once for it to show up in the other posts.

A better option would be to just turn off sigs when you view the forum. There's a "no flash" option, is it possible for a "no sig" option for each viewer?

Unless you use a dreamcast to view the site. >_>

Thus my point is proven. Shank you kind sir.

If possible, PSOW needs a "Sig off" function for each member. That way if they are using the handy yet poor DC browser, all they have to do is turn off sigs and no more major slow downs.

You can't make a site that's 100% friendly to all browsers. If it were possible I'd do it and make millions of dollars.

Let's face it; the majority of PSOW viewers are viewing from computers. If somebody is using the old, outdated DC webbrowser, me thinks it's time for them to invest in a $300 e-machine.

Heck, my mom's P160 can view webpages just fine with IE 6.

We could put in an "Ignore Sig" options just like we can ignore PMs... But then I'd be against it since, like Spy, I am too hooked on showing-off!! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Here's good reason why this should be made possible:

Frankly, I could do without looking at horrible image editing and horrible use of text.

Oh, plus, this would get rid of marquee, which tends to be distracting.

People would work-around such a feature by posting an image at the end of each post manually =>.>=;;;;;;;

Wouldn't Spy's marquee cause the same problem that my marquee did to DC and other off-name browsers?

No. Spy's marquee is text, your's was an image. There are no line breaks in an image, so it streches out the page. But I don't *think* that a text marquee would stretch out the page, I think it would auto-wrap.

Also, now you can disable signatures.
