Oh wao... The female nanoblast is very nice. I wish I could get a male version that was lithe like that... Would make me much more willing to play a Beast (I don't go for he overly muscular male... Different tastes. ::shrug::).

This is a very nice scan. Someone actually scanned it straight and at a decent resolution...

On to the actual content:
-The film strip at the top comes from the opening PSU movie that we've seen on the live stream for a while.
-Mirei's crown looks freaky.
-Who is the pirate guy with the mask?
-Nice, there will be different types of SUV weapons
-The female nanoblast actually looks pretty decent. I was afraid that Beasts all had the same nanoblast form.

1. Mirei is more than we know her to be. A pic like that shows that clearly. Something about her...
2. The pirate guy is a Japanese guy dressed up, just talking about the game. You know how they just love to dress up. Why a pirate tho? Maybe he works for the mag or hes from some game show?
3. I figured there were different SUV weps as Ive seen pics with a couple types already. This was of course when we thought they were simple shoulder mount weps & not these skyscraper/tower size cannons that we're now drooling over. LOL
4. The female Nanos are nice. Now Idk if I should make my beast male or female. Im torn! I thought it was cute (Kitty!) & yet, sexy (Meow!). Decisions, decisitons. Given the fact that theyre 2 different colors, I hope that your char's original coloring carries over to Nano form. Wow, the female beasts' nanotrance is wicked looking. Very cool! It's a damn good thing that there's a difference between male and female nanotrance ::shivers:: I really like them both. And finally a better view of the other SUV weps. I'm not exactly sure what those weps in the biggest pic are. Rockets possibly...IDK. One other thing: notice how they [m&f beast] both have two circles on their foreheads. In a recent post by Parn there were scans of male and female costumes and there was a note about the Nanotrancers on their outfits [i think Ethan's outfit was mentioned too, and they were on his hood]. i wonder if these forehead things are merely accoutrement or if they are some kind of Nanoblast control system.

For those worried about a lack of customization with the transformed state of beast characters, I don't think there's too much you should be worried about. Going from these two forms as well as two others that I've seen in old concept artwork from the E3 2004 trailer, I think SonicTeam will be giving us quite a few different styles to choose from. Of course, certain attributes like your character's build will probably carry over into their nanoblast, but I assume you'll be able to customize other things like the color and style of the tattoos on your skin (I'm beginning to think these may actually be photon lines, like the SLS, infused into the character's skin), hair color, hair style, and skin color. For example, one piece of old concept artwork shows a tall, lean male beast with dark blue skin, light blue tattoos, and blonde hair running across his pecs in a V and then over his shoulders and down his back. Proof that not all male beasts will be ripped tanks.

Anyways, has it been confirmed that you can use a Sabre and a Dagger together? I think it would rather exotic to see such a style. Also is it possible to setup your weapon sets similer to how you would set up your Macro's for PSIV or it just based on what you have and sets up it by itself?

Also is it me or did Ethen and them team get hit by some invisible force at random when they got real close to the dragon? I don't see what could possibly cause it unless its a similer "wind" technique earlier in the video where those little rhino dog creatures caused a small tornado to knock everyone over. And why is it half the time the team doesn't "attack" as much?

You know... personally... I really wish Sonic Team would have trashed the "human" Beast form altogether and just let us have their one beast form which we can customize.

I really wanted more distinctly alien races in this game, such as the Motavians and Dezolians were in the first games. Haveing pure beast form for beast characters keeps the ideal and the role of the Motavian archetype in place - while also being able to switch it up a bit for the newer generation of Phantasy Star.

Yeah, but htat's what I'm saying. For a race which started off inpsired by to Motavians - they're far too "human" like. I think it would have been nice to have the more distinctly alien races back.

But then again - this isn't the first time this has happened. Miau from PSI was deemed too "disconnected" from the players to have more Musk Cats in your party in later installments. Not many people could identify with a cat as a major party member. So in PSII, Tohru took the Miau archetype and created Numans - who were a genetic hybrid between human and musk-cats. In this way, they could keep Miau's role and his legacy - without actually having to have a Musk Cat party member.

In-game, no, it wasn't specified. But it has been confirmed in production notes and various interviews with the design team.

Even if Myau and Nei are not directly blood related - she is still the extension of his character type and his "spiritual" successor.

Yes they are, tho I wouldnt call the beast race druidic. Theyd have to be highly proficient in healing magic (mostly) & it seems beasts arent too good (or capable at all) in magic. Lycans, I can see since they go from a semi-human to a feral humanoid form.

Lets hope with the Beast race that its not going to be the same "Lion" Nanatrance form for both male and female. I wanna see them have veriety for their hair, colour, fur patterns and possibly have some unique clothing articals like bracelets/cuffs on their arms and legs.

Well I know your allowed to change the ear type when your making your character (as seen in the Character Customization video) but what I ment is when they transform into their Nanotrance form.

1. Ear adjustment isnt solely for beasts. Its also there for newmans as well. Im willing to bet it is for all 4 races.

2. Male & female beasts have unique Nanoblasts for their gender (as shown in other topics).

well fomarl had the worst mst of the force(barely more than a hunewearl) but was the best healer thanks to range bonuses
