No Xbox PSO at TGS 2002?

As for today, what seems the official list of games that SEGA will show during this year Tokyo Game Show.

Xbox PSO is not listed. Perhaps the game will be shown in the Microsoft booth but I haven't heard anything about it. Or SEGA will include at the last minute?

I was surprised to see the annoucement about 'true Fantasy online' for the Xbox.
(designed by level 5 I think)
While it's good for the box to get a generic MMORPG to appeal to the masses .. where the Heck is PSO ??? PSO should be the one to lead the way ...

I fear some major screw-up somewhere from ST/Sega ...

We won't be seeing the XboX version for quite some time yet, don't worry. It's not exactly just around the corner.

Even Panzer Dragoon has been delayed until sometime next year,and we were expecting this to be a Christmas order.

Xbox live in Japan has been delayed till June(at least that's what Planetxbox said based on an article from bloomerang)...but beta test will start this November...So it may not be in this year TGS, who knows...THere is another game show in Osaka this November, it might be there instead...So don't be surprise if you don't see PSO-X this year's TGS...I am looking forward to seeing True Fantasy Live Online for this year TGS though...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif...it will probably steal the show for best MMORPG at this year TGS anyway...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif....hehehe

I think that they'll want to ensure the success of True Fantasy by not having PSO so close to it. I get the feeling that for the XboX, PSO is not the priority on their Live agenda, no matter how much we'd like to see it. It makes sense.

New PSO Xbox Character
Sega announced today that the Xbox-version of Phantasy Star Online will feature a unique character class not found in the recently released GameCube version, Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II. Unfortunately, specific details regarding race and sex are unavailable currently.

Also, a keyboard will be available for the Xbox the day PSO hits Microsoft's console. This, also, comes from Sega's announcement, though whether they will be producing the unit remains a mystery.

Phantasy Star Online for the Xbox will also be compatible with the Xbox Live Headset Communicator that comes packed-in with the Xbox Live Starter Kit.

My Thoughts:

It has to be a port still. There is no way they would package a free copy of a new PSO with Xbox Live in Japan, it just doesn't make any sense at all. The pictures however don't lie, it seems that the Xbox will indeed be getting the new characters as well as another character. But I refuse to believe they will get all this for free when they buy the Xbox Live starter kit.

Doesn't make sense. Only logical explanation is a second PSO game after a free Version 2 port. Or that this game won't be out until 2003 as well as XBL in Japan.

why everyone says it doesn't makes sense??I just don't agree...Once the live kit deal is up, they need to get PSO seperately, and they need to pay HL and from what I heard, MS will packed in a different games once in a while, it won't always be PSO...I believe when True Fantasy comes out, they will make a live kit packed in witht hat game instead...it's just a marketing plot...MS needs to sell Live, and they are using PSO...it makes sense...to me anyway...in a business point of view, it makes sense a lot...

why don't they want to believe it.... is cause most people on this board rushed out and bought a GC cause of PSO and now they are stuck. and to eas ther own minds they still hope for PSO ver2 on Xbox, but we know that ain't true, so let them believe what they want, doesn't change the fact that us so called xbox fanboys (thats what cube trash talkers called us that couldn't believe xbox would get more) been sayin this stuff for months, we knew xbox would always have extras.... and Im happy to wait the few extra month for all the extras on the Xbox....
