Well, what did you expect? It's now rumored that cheaters have found a way to duplicate items without the use of a cheating device. Somehow Sonic Team managed to overlook this bug, and it seems as if it will be quite difficult to patch.

Hopefully this rumor turns false, and if not… hopefully Sonic Team takes care of it, fast.

Hey, cut it some slack, it came out thursday, so that's 5 days. Sheesh.

Also, it's not as if US players are going to know how to do it, so sonic team might be able to nip it in the bud. (I don't exactly think there's word select for how to dupe.)

And another thing, there was duping in pso before, and sonic team fixed it, why can't they fix it again?

It's probably using old "methods" to dupe items. I knew people would try all of this...

There is no real Cheat device for the Cube so Duping is as bad as it'll get.

Seriously, this is a big fumble IMO for Sonic Team. You figure the biggest reason people stopped playing, is because of the cheating, and ST would look thru everything to make sure this didn't happen. But here it is, less than a week into it's existance, and the cheating has already begun. geigh.

And the hackers are not lazy, they're misguided. Dosen't make it right, tho.

some1 needs to do something....i would suggest PSOW making a clan that hacks hackers so the hackers will stop hacking....@_@...but then i think eevryone would turn against me......or...maybe we can make an online petition and send it to the GS company asking them to not make a GC GS because of all our fun it ruins =/

Kind of hard to fix a bug in the game's program without a hard drive or similar storage device to patch it.

I'll place my bets that this duping exploit has something to do with the offline multiplayer mode...

I don't understand how it's possible. PSO GC sold considerably well in Japan in it's debut, but I don't know too many people who imported it.

If you're trying to tell me Japanese people cheat, I'll remind you that it's a foregone conclusion that they can't, much like Vulcans are incapable of lying.

Japanese officials thought that too. That's why the protection for international calls phone cards was weak.
Result of this was that 99% of international public phones were barred from accessing overseas due to costly pirate abuse.

So the point is : it takes a very few 'bad' people to ruin an entire system.
