my imported copy of pso is being delivered today, and the gamebit to mod my gc will be in tommorrow or the day after. the problem is that i have no gamecube! i had to send it to nintendo last friday because the fan stopped spinning, causing it to overheat. they probably won't receive it until wednesday or so, and who knows how long it will take to fix it. in the meantime, i've borrowed my friend's gamecube. now i could mod it, then give him mine when it comes in, but i don't know how he'd feel about that. otherwise it could be weeks before i can play! if only that stupid freeloader hadn't been cancelled/delayed until the end of time.

Ask him. But do like Huck Finn and make it sound as if you are doing him a favor, as opposed to just practing...

I would think it would be cool if somebody modded my gamecube, even if I never used it. Why do you have your friends GCN, anyways?

Mod it.

When yuo tell him you modded it be like...

" here man, I suped up your Gamecube for ya, I cant believe you never had it modded man? Usually it costs like 40 bucks but you really needed it... howd you fare without it.. jeez... so i did it for free..."

Push it all out at once, and make him feel like he's ripping you off, not to mention he won't say anything against it because he'll feel stupid that he didnt get it modded when he "should have".

Ask him whether you can mod his BEFORE you do it, and offer to trade Cubes with him when yours comes back. After all.....yours will have a shiny brand new fan installed, right?

As a side note.....this is why I love Nintendo. They warranty the Cube for 1 year, against Microsoft and Sony's 90 day warrantys.

I say ask him how he feels and ask if he would like to have yours once it comes.

turns out theres a mod where you don't need to solder anything, just stick two wires into two little holes! i can just do that, then take the wires out when my cube comes in. problem solved.
