'Wish You Were Here'- Incubus
'Reise, Reise'- Rammstein (yes, seriously)
'Rainmaker'- Iron Maiden (again, just a well composed song)

I've never been one for laid back tunes really, Incubus is probably the most 'chillout' I have. There are loads of songs that aren't rock that I don't mind listening to, but I can't think of any off-hand.

I have always felt "The Trick Is To Keep Breathing" and "You Look So Fine" by Garbage are both staggeringly beautiful and heartfelt songs on an otherwise tongue-in-cheek album. And also "Silence" by Delerium (featuring Sarah McLachlan).

Wazzy, great taste! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif Enya is a treasure trove of beautiful music...Book of Days, I'd think, is one of my favourite.

Oh, and "The Fields of Robert John" by Paul Mounsey. (he's the guy that did the 'Visit Wales'/'Visit Scotland' adverts, for those of you in England.)

Most of the work by kLuTz (http://www.klutz.cjb.net) are quite amazing. See: Final Fantasy 1 Town arrangement.

Hmmm. Seal of the Wind, three trials from the FFX-2 Piano collection's a nice one.

The iTunes exclusive session of Tori Amos singing Sleeps with Butterflies also sounds pretty nice.
Having just a piano and her voice makes her talent really shine.

Oh, and lastly, Storms in Africa from Enya also makes the list.

Actually, I almost forgot. I'll consider that increasingly large folder of electroplankton junk I've been recording as 'beautiful' because I made it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Beautiful?

Well..

Either of The Mars Volta albums front to back are beautiful, especially De-loused.

I agree with whoever said GYBE!, especially off of the 'Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven' album(s)...

Johnny Cash - "Hurt" (moreso than NIN..Trent can't compete with the true grittyness of Cash on that song)

I'd say about anything Bjork does is beautiful, but for the sake of the thread I'll say "All Is Full of Love".

A ton of stuff from Blonde Redhead is beautiful...

On second thought I'll just leave this thread alone--this could take forever.
