okay I have some questions

I 've never played online before so I don't know what battle and challenge mode is and I was wondering what it was and what is the difference between the two. Also if you can start ver.2 on the gamecube version even if you're at level 1 even though it will be very difficult.

Well, battle mode is exactly that; a mode where you battle against other PSOers. Challenge mode is a mode you play in which you can gain special weapons and armor if conditions are met. You get to name your weapon. And on the GC version, Episode 1 is Version 1 and 2, so despite your level you will be able to still play. If you were playing v2 on the DC version and you were lv 1 you could've played. Hope this helps....
