View Full Version : So I was watching the PSU videos and I noticed...

I was browsing around in the video section and found one of the streaming videos from christmas. The one with the partner machinery... I noticed that the enemies combust and I found it funny how they just vanish in thin air. So they've done away with sinking into the ground with little pools of colored blood-like liquid. It's better, I admit. But its still funny. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Well, I guess that makes the disappearing foes more dramatic. It also solves the problem of bloody mess on the ground & floor. ;D

So would it be more realistic than the Life Savers colors of death we're accustomed to seeing? Id personally love to see the bodies just stay on the ground or at least just fade away.

I like the fact that this has changed...thought the bloody mess was fun to walk through and such, the canbusting of these new enemies should be even more intresting to walk through as they go up in smoke...

But now we won't be able to leave a trail of splattered blood everywhere... =(

That was always the fun part!

I think them combusting will get old pretty fast, I agree with what OdinTyler said.

Hah I remember when I was playing at that expo thing in manhatten, I killed like 4 of these ugly things in the dungeon underground and they went up pretty nicely. I guess the more enemies the more dramatic? Imagine if we managed to slay a good hunred of these uglies.

I never really noticed the blood that much. I was always too busy killing http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Anyway, it's a minor point but it does sound pretty cool.

Dissappearing corpses sounds fine to me. It prevents them from being ressurrected anyways.

Yeah, but that means necromancy is out of the question.. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

NightHour: What day were you at the con in Manhattan? Fri, Sat, or Sun?

Kano: Dont confuse this with EQ or a DnD game. Of course theres no necromancy here. Futuristic game. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Leaving blood all over the place is fun! But the bodies combusting is fine with me.

The bodies I think should go away- if the enemy you killed is cute. Nobody wants to see a rappy on the floor.

Plus, it better not be like mortal combat where just punching somebody makes them splatter blood everywhere.

Why dont they take the best from both worlds and have the monsters blow up in a shower of blood and various internal organs?

I know some good DnD games you could get into. It of course would depend on whether you want to play on PC, console, or the old Pen and Paper. As for EQ, I finished with that awhile back. Im just looking foward to PSU. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Oh & Idk about everyone else, but, Id love to see a Rappy's carcass on the ground...PERMANENTLY. Not fair that its the 1 enemy you cant kill. If we're not meant to kill them, they shouldnt be enemies. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

This must be why they delayed the game. I'm sure they're implimenting this for us.

I'm personally hoping for a roundhouse kick feature for my Chuck Norris-esque character. This, of course, will cause blood to shower with organs, regardless of whether or not it has been implimented or taken out of the game. This is the very nature of the roundhouse kick.

1. There wont be any showers of blood here. This is Sega we're talking about, not Midway.

2. Theres a roundhouse kick already in the game. Its part of a combo Ive seen Ethan do. It most likely is a Photon Art, but, cant say for sure.

3. A roundhouse kick is not meant to cause showers of blood. To say that is to misunderstand the point of a martial arts move & martial arts in general.

Easy, there buddy. Thanks for your typical list-off thing you do, but I was only joking around http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Chuck Norris and roundhouse kicks? C'mon. You thought I was serious? I'm not THAT cheesy http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

1. Just for that crack, another 'list off'. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

2. Yes, I said roundhouse kick. Ive seen a vid from here where Ethan finishes off a combo with a roundhouse kick.

3. The con was the Digital Life Convention back in Oct. It was announced on the main page. It was the 1st con for ANYTHING I was able to go, so, I busted my ass to make sure I got there. There were 3 stations dedicated to PSU. Yes, it was playable for 2 different lvls. As if I didnt want the game before, after playing that, you better believe I want it now.

I hope Ethan kicks ass, because that video of Johnathan Fs with the brief snippets of videos show Ethan doing some really awesome moves. Like when he's fighting along side with Hyuga against a cast.

From what Ive seen in the video & actually playing as Ethan, believe me...he DOES kick ass. Once adjusting to the controls, I dont see how he couldnt.

Hey Ryna, I dont remember what topic it was, but, remember when we were discussing what the 'mystery' weapon was? A dagger or slicer or what? I figured out what it is! I was using my Grass Assassin sabers & noticed how my char handles it...or should I say I was reminded of it. She holds a handle in her hand & the blade is long & curved outward. In other words, what we saw was a saber or a 1 hand sword that would either be in its own class or a sub-section under sabers. I know we dont know what its called, but, that does clear up the mystery. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
