Argh!! Help with setup of getting to play online

Ok so I have my lisence and everything. I go and enter my serial number and password on PSO for GCN and I get to the news listing that minho is now helping english users and all that junk. After I read that I tried moving on and the game just wouldn't let me go. Then the connection timed out and disconnected. Is there a port I need to open or what?

What's the error number when you get disconnected? If it's error 102, simply wait and try again later. It'll work eventually.

I just tried to reconnect and I am getting error code 100.
