-There will be a new PSO Card Battle game for GC next year. You, uh, battle each other with cards and it uses the same lobbies as GC PSO.

-There may possibly be a new stage added to online mode: Control Tower. Apparently, Yuji Naka wants PSO to have as long of a life as possible so extra goodies will be unlocked online once in a while.

If these are true, then added to the mind-boggling dupe bug, they show that the amount of incompetent programming at Sonic Team has reached new incredible heights.

Is this new stage already in the game or is it kept server side and then downloaded? Anyway, if in the rerelease they release a new level and a changed ep 2 ult then i will consider restarting. Getting the same damn game glitch free and having to start over will be a pain in the ass though.

The only problem was that no one bought the dream cast and there were only a few good games on it anyway. PSO being one of them.

As far as I know, the new stage should be in the programming already because a patch would be pretty hard to do for an entirely new stage. As for when it would be unlocked, one can only wish soon. It could be BA-only, used for an online quest (someone at Ragol mentioned some evidence suggesting this), or possibly a new regular stage. Time can only tell.

PK wouldn't be too much to worried about since it should be easy to fix with a server-side patch at least. It does make me wonder if even worse glitches can be found in the game at this rate though (new NOL anyone?). As it stands with PK, it's little more than an annoyance now that you can't drop your weapon.

BTW, about that recall, odds are that the current version players can continue to play their characters once the fixed version comes out so no recall will happen. It's just they will be on different servers and only if the players on the current version get out of hand will Sega shut it down. Downside is obviously being that you won't get the new copy for free.

I was talking about the DC, not the GC, but if you must:
Super Monkey Ball (pretty fun)
Animal Crossing (or I could play something that ISNT lame)
Smash Bros. (repetetive, requires little skill. poor for a fighting game)
Xtreme G (is available on ps2 also, and isn't as good as other wipeout style games)
Agent Under Fire (uh..you realize that not only does this game suck, but it's on all 3 systems?)
Luigi's Mansion (yeah it was ok..for 5 hours)
Bomberman Generations (Never played it)
Turok (is available on all 3 systems, and the xbox one is easily twice as good)
Star Wars Rouge Squadron (Personally I've never liked this series, it's like a crappy colony wars)
Cel Damage (cel damage was on xbox first, and it sucks on both systems)

Halo (obvious)
Morrowind (I actually prefer the PC version vastly)

now let me throw in my 2 cents:
I'm not gonna mention games on both systems since it's pointless, not to mention the xbox one is better in all instances.
Genma Onimusha. I love onimusha, and this one is infinitely better than warlords.
Rallisport challenge. Best traditional racing game in years.
JSRF. How could anyone who owned a dreamcast not understand why this is an excellent game? if you don't: it's an excellent game.
DoA3: not the best fighting game around, but certainly better than smash brothers.
Munch: Excellent move from the old oddworld games into 3d. more open-ended puzzles with good combat and platforming elements added as well.
Enclave: has its flaws, but a beautiful and fun medieval action game.

I could go on with games that are multiplatform or more average, but then i'd be a hypocrite.
I am not a fanboy, and I do not claim xbox is the best system ever or any of that.
DC is easily the best system ever.
I hate GC and PS2 fanboys though. I wander around alot of message boards in my time, and frankly I've never seen people as generally immature and uninformed as gc and ps2 fanboys (and yes i own both systems) which is really sad.

whatever happens if they release a new jp game as per yuji nakas statement eventually glitched servers will be shut, as this new disc will take a few months to sort out.

I will be ditching my current version then and goign bug free, as us players are not going to be interlinked in the jp faulty servers and every decreasing ppl to play with then. who wantys to play a bugged version when there is a superior product?

When PSO came out, Dreamcast was already killed by SEGA.

All this PSO Episode 1&2 glitches is terribly sad, after 3 versions of the same game!! And over 2 months of beta testing...
I decided to wait and see what happens while buying some GC games.

Now that PSO is coming to Xbox, there is no game for me on the GC. And that is a totally different thing that saying there are no good games on GC.

Xbox had a dry period this year without great games, but a lot of them are now in sight. Including typically japanese ones (N.U.D.E.@).

A healthy market needs both a strong GC and a strong Xbox.

PSO is coming to two next-gen systems.

Have you actually opened an Xbox before? I have. Inside it looks just like every other system with the exception of a hard drive next to the dvd drive. It's just a big motherboard with a few tiny little boards not integrated into the main board.
Sure he named about 3 or 4 bad games, but come on if you really want me to start naming every bad game on every system we'll be here forever.
I hate people who just say 'halo is good, everything else sucks'..these are people whose scope of what is 'fun' is so limited that they probably dont like any games on any console, OR it could be they're simply anti-fanboys and are jealous of what they don't have. I've got more xbox games than ps2 and gamecube, and frankly I like them all quite a bit. I've got 16 Xbox games, 7 ps2 games, and 3 gamecube games. And there's hoenstly nothing else that is already out that I want for any of these systems. Sure stuff is coming soon, but if anything Xbox has the most appealing future lineup. PS2 has..well vice city, which admit it everyone is looking forward to (even if ps2 ONLY had gta, it'd be better than the GC), GC has zelda (which alot of people have given up hope on, including me. they dumb down the series with each new game) and metroid (which REALLY needs to convince me, since traditional metroid gameplay wont translate into first person, AND they didnt bother making it a real FPS. essentially its a first person platformer. great.) Xbox has Orta, Fable (project ego), BC, DOAXVB, Ninja Gaiden, Blinx, Unreal, mechassault, TJ&E3, Kakuto Chojin, Shenmue II...and these are all titles with release dates within the next 6 months except ninja gaiden and BC.

I hate to play the fanboy but basically xbox haters tend to be the most ignorant and annoying around.
Face it, if you aren't in it for the games you're nothing but an anti-gamer, and that goes against everything I stand for.

gaming simply depends on personal likes and dislikes in games and for myself i dont find any of the x-box games interesting enough to convince me to actually buy that console (except jsrf but thats the only one). if you do, i'm honestly happy for you. ^_^

The X-box controller is a great controller, so what if it was modeled after the DC controller?

If thats what they did, then they did a damn good job of re-modelling it. I've never used a controller that worked so well for FPS and other games which call for precision.

and abdur is right. who cares? It is definitly THE BEST FPS controller ever. It's smooth as all hell, unlike the Cube's C and 360 degree rotating stick. Precision on Xbox is great with it's controller, and when Counter Strike is relased for th system it's going to rock. Xbox will definitly dominate in FPS, it's only competition will be GC's perfect dark 2.

I love the X-Box controller. It's a bit weird @ first, but after playing Halo for 30 minutes I dominated everybody. Nothing's wrong with with the GC controller either. They both just take some getting used to.

ok i wasnt trying to talk smack about the controller. I agree I love the xbox controller. Both the S and the normal one (I prefer the S for the D pad and A B X Y, but for games that require all the buttons at a whim and use the analog sticks, like FPS games, I prefer the original).

And GC isn't getting perfect dark, xbox is. Rare left with all of its franchises unlike early speculation indicated.

Kinda sad that it only takes one person to know how to do it for it to become a wide spread problem ;_;

I think more people know how to do it, the chance that just one person knows how to do it would mean that many others know how to do it as well.
