hey, seein as i'm from the uk, i have been wondering when the gc version of pso will actually come out and if it will actually come out, i have enough money to get the game when it comes out but seein as i already have a gamecube, i don't really want to import one just to play pso on it, so does ne 1 know about release dates for the UK?

It will come out on Europe (like all PSOs did http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif ) we just don't know when it's coming out... probably it'll come out around November/December.

its supposed to be around the beginning of december..? here in aus its slated for dec 1st.. although that has a 99.9999999% chance of slipping to next yr.. which is why im now getting xbox pso instead, cause if im gonna wait, i most well get it for the system i already own!

yea, i could just imagine evryone thinking its gonna come out during december and then they have to wait another yr, i wouldnt think it would come out as soon as it comes out in usa. it usually takes ages for it to come back out.

yeah, they have to implement the crappy 50Hz mode first (which nobody really uses) and provide its running that way.
why dont they just release a 60Hz version and those dozen poor people who cannot play at 60Hz have to wait some weeks for their version?

Exactly...
Why cant they just release UK version, a month, at the most, after the US version.
Oh By the way, The US release date is October, so it saysHERE (http://www.sega.com/games/fullreleaseschedule.jhtml).

So far the only realistic chance weve got in the UK of playing PSO is by getting the import, and if your stuck with a pal gamecube then freeloaders your only chance.
As for the big freeleaoder question, a local game import shop near me has had a load of empty freeloader boxes delivered, as the discs are delivered separatly.

i dont have any conection with datel,or any of its products, although im just passing information on from what i was told by the manager in the shop.
Weather you take it as Freeloader is coming out very soon or not is a different matter, personaly im going to remain on the pesimistic side of things for now

it still has to be proved that US-GCNpso works properly with the freeloader and a Pal-cube, well... we'll have to wait (a long time -_-;;)
but, when the hunters licence is bound to the game, it would be better to import the japanese version (once the fixed one gets released), because US-hl is more expensive than the JP one - just a thought

another thing is will a US or JP modem/bba work on a PAL gamecube?
it is known that there is no hardware teritorial lockout on the modem, but thats only been tested with JP/US cubes, which appart form a jumper on the motherboard are identical.
The UK PAL gamecube can not be modified in the same way as the motherboard and internal circuitary are different, will this have an effect on the modem/BBA compatability?

no i dont think so because you can also use japanese controllers and memcards (reformated ^_^) with a pal-cube.
only problem would be the access-software/driver/cubekey imho
