Chances are that I'll go online right away. I like being new to everything and having random people walk up to me, saying "THIS IS SO AWESOME!!". I think it'll be more fun being a noob with other noobs.

But, if I get Ethan to level 23 and then start playing online... I'd miss out on that whole experience!

I'm just going online to get my character registered and created (I'm afraid the name I want will be taken... they haven't said if two people will be able to have the same name yet so I'm assuming the worst), then its offline mode for me. I just want to get used to everything before I start playing online, so I'll definatly be putting in a few hours of the offline game first.

If Blue Burst allowed two players to have the same name (and I say that honestly not knowing if it does), then I have no doubts that PSU will let two players share a name. It's as easy as identifying characters by a server-held value like an ID number as opposed to their name.

Personally, I'd love to beat the offline game before going online (especially because I have a friend who's waffling on whether or not he'll be over WoW enough to get this game, and I'd like the two of us to start concurrently), but I'm kinda scared that if I stay offline for too long, by the time I go online all the fine people of PSOW will be in the equivalent of Ultimate mode, leaving me to play an eternal game of catch-up with the cool people like in every other version of PSO I've played.

Decisions, decisions. :/

Depends on if broadband is required or not. If it is, I'll be offline until I can get a connection like that. If I can use Dial Up I'll be on as soon as I can get THAT set up.

lol ill be the first person in a lobby thats how fast ill go online. i wont bother offline especially if it doesnt save on your online charecter.

Id like to know what its like to be 1 of the first ppl online for a game. To be 1 of those pioneers that sets the trend for future endeavors...definitely something Im looking foward to. Offline Ill use for during downtime or when the server is down. True, I do want a good story to work on, but, I feel I can accomplish more if I focus on online first. Besides, having played the game already, I REALLY want to start creating my characters & get started, trying to find out all the secrets & surprises that the game has to offer.

- Play around with the character creation menus
- Check out the lobbies and say hi to some people
- Start and finish Story Mode, so I could concentrate on just online play.

All online for me. I can't even imagine the newness of it all. A brand new Phantasy Star game, all shiney and new! I'll divide thing equally. Becuase maybe they give somthinm online to those who screw with the story mode, or maybe since you done the story mode some thigns will be well known of online.

It will certainly make the game alot easier to understand i think if you dabble in the offline mode. Youre going to have to do it at one point anyway to understand the story.

I'll go straight online, besides if the server will be anything like GunzOnline (god i hope not) there will be time to play the offline mode then.

Im sure there will be a few teething problems considering not all the servers are going online at once, hopefully by the time we get it in the UK those problems will be ironed out.

It really depends at what time it comes out. Summer or when I don't have school-Online. School or busy day- offline.
It would be nice to train a little offline and get through some of the story mode, but I don't want to be behind either online...not one moment
