could everyone, pretty please, send an feedback@xbox.com to Microsoft to let them RELEASE PSO EPS1&2 NOW!!!
The game is done...in an interview with Gamespot (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/news/0,10870,2882013-3,00.html) Yuji Naka said that the game is basically done and he said "[maybe] if the fans asked for them to release it right away, they might release it sooner? [smiles]"
So can each of you here do me a favour and ask Microsoft to release PSO right away??I couldn't find the best email, if anyone has a better one than I found, please post here...

THANKS A LOT, GUYS!

I'd laugh if people did that and ST was like: "Nevermind. We don't want to release it that bad." And they followed up by shelving the game.

Well it's not exactly so far fetched. Yuji Naka is just saying that maybe if the PSO players pressed Microsoft, they'd release the game sooner because then they'd know the fan-base is there for it.

It'd be a possible increase in sales.

I say send em an email, how much is it going to hurt? You send one simple email asking for a sooner release of PSO. Costs nothing, simple, and there's always that chance, yeah?

Hey I'm being nice.
Ok sorry back on topic:
E-mailing will not hurt any to have Microsoft release PSO XBOX earlier. It shall help no less. The more they get petitioning it, the greater the chance that it will happen as ABDUR touched up on.

So you ownXBOX, you like PSO, go e-mail to ask them to release it earlier than they are planning to and as early as possible. Many a XBOX owner and PSO fan will be thankful for it.

Hell even if you don't own an XBOX and like PSO go do it anyway to help other people out. They will be grateful no doubt.

0 e-mails will mean a 0 chance of PSO coming out earlier. If the e-mails are not in an impatient "give me PSO now you bastards" tone then it helps. I can see your point of too many e-mails making a lesser chance of PSO XBOX coming out earlier then planned.

I think it's a bad idea to try and push for a launch before Xbox Live is running. Not only is it impossible for them to do at this point if it's not already being pressed and shopped around, but I think ultimately sales would be HARMED if it came out and you couldn't play online immediately.
The casual gamer makes up the largest market value, not the lowly PSO fan.

I would'nt say an early release would hurt the sales. Alot of people have heard about PSO since the original DC release, and most people know that it was still enjoyable offline(single player on the DC), so the ability to have four player split screen is in the new versions, which is a bonus.

Also, this would give everyone some time to tinker with the game and gain afew levels. Sure, those who want to hop online with a fresh character right after creation could wait until X-box LIVE is released.

PSO has already made a name for itself, pretty much everyone knows what to expect from the game in and of itself, yeah?

An early release for a game like this isn't exactly something that would make sales take a major hit.

I think you overestimate the market power of PSO in the US.
If you can't play online people who just pick it up wont keep playing it after beating it on easy most likely, since there's no social aspect to speak of offline.
Yes I realize it's good to push for a launch date alongside Live. That's what I sincerely want. I just don't think people should waste their breath saying 'RELEASE IT IMMEDIATELY'.
If it comes out this year I'll be happy. Honestly I've got WAY too many games to play in the next month and a half as it is. I hate christmas season =/ hard to fit all the games in.

Oh really? He seemed pretty enthuiastic about it during his interview with OXM :/ Naka-san wouldn't release the game on Xbox if he had ne doubt it would sell... Fact is Xbox is THE online gaming system. The other consoles are basically just throwing out the peripherals and letting the software companies sort it out.

Personally, I own a Gamecube, and an Xbox..and I'll be getting the GC PSO, instead of Xbox, because of Xbox live.

I live in an area where broadband isn't available. No DSL, no Cable, no Broadband whatsoever. So, I'm stuck on 56k. Getting Xbox PSO would be useless for me, because I can't play it online. THat's where the most fun was for me.

I'll be getting GC PSO, and enjoy every second of playing it. I've already got a plan for what characters I'm going to create even.

The Xbox Live Beta testing positions filled up almost instantaneously... I think there are more than enough ppl on the broadband bandwagon to host a profitable and fun network. Broadband is becoming more and more mainstream nowadays since the typical family owns more than one computer (making the ability to share a fast connection very lucrative). I'd rather play with less people and have a flawless online experience than play with a ton and be stuck lagging to death!

Go look at Gamefaqs though, the current poll there is internet connection.
Most people connect through dialup because they aren't gamers and don't really care. It's much lower than 9/10ths of the US population too.
Most gamers who have an internet connection have broadband, and that number is only going up.

Well, it's nice for a console owner to see PSO arriving on his/her system.
Not having to shell out $500 for importing a Us GC and all peripherals is sweet too.

I don't think the PSO lobbies on Xbox will be a ghost town. The sad point is that there will surely be very few japanese players. bummer.

Come to think of it, Us GC players won't see much jp people either, since they'll be on different servers.

It has been stated that jp players will pay a HL.
No reason why the rest of the world would be an exception.
Besides, you pay for bug patching (grin) and new content (quests, c-modes and possibly new char classes) in addition to server maintenance costs.

My reason for playing XboX PSO?

Graphic push. The game's going to look extra amazing. If the lobbys DO happen to be a little more empty than on the Cube, that's all good too. I can find a nice quiet game of PSO or have a great conversation with some people without some dork with a Gayshark putting up oversized speech bubbles all over the lobby.

I'm glad that I've got the choice. Can't get onto PSO on the Cube? Lobbies too crowded? Then I just fire up the XboX.

$9 a month for US PSO GC is absurb... The Japanese pay half that amount! XBL subscription fees include updates and extra content unless the third party (SEGA) wishes to charge a small fee for this service (Extra Characters, etc). An HL covers server maintenance... The servers belong to MS not SEGA I don't see how that would work.

I am in beta...you can find me posting in xbox beta forum too...ya it is included, but Ed Fries also states that MS allow any developer to charge additional fees...he told us to expect them for games that requires constant updates and maintainance, MMORPG...He also said you may need to buy the extra downloads as well...he gave an example as a person playing in UC buying a vehicle or getting a new char skin or stages and you may need to pay to enter tournaments...you may not need to pay for every games, but there are some that requires extra fees....
Sonic Team doesn't work for MS...they need to get paid for creating new contents...they got their money in GCN version from the monthly fee...but in US, if it is indeed free, they don't get anything once the game is released, I doubt they want to add extra things for Xbox gamers...Xbox is not a sega console...they don't give a damn...actually I don't too...I got an Xbox just for Sega games, PDO mainly...without SEGA, it's just a system full of FPS and racing games...something I am completely has no interest in...
ANyway Ed fries describe the XBL service as a basic cable service...you need to pay extras for premium stuff...you need to pay extra for HBO...don't you??So PSO is somewhat like HBO, while some games are like PPV, you pay only when you want to buy that extra chars or stages...
They never really states one pay for all games...that's what people assume, but if yuo read ed fries interview or j allard interview, then you know what XBL is really about...

The servers belong to MS not SEGA I don't see how that would work.

I heard of two different things, one PSO is on MS server and one PSO is on Sega server but connected through MS's server first...but who knows MS and Sega won't release a thing about PSO-X...and probably they won't release such stuff to public, they don't want to give too much information to the hackers.....but who cares, as long as they work fine, it's not our concern...at least not for me...
right now, it's all just speculation or rumours on this subject...I also heard that in the future, MS will allow any developers to have their own server, so they need not have to be in MS server...but XBL is just to make these developer easier since they don't need to maintain their own...but who knows, only rumours and speculation...to me, as long as MS and Sega has a way to make PSO-X work and we get downloadable content, free or not free, it doesn't matter. I want PSO-X and I want the downloadble content...other things are not my concern, beside how much is HL/month...just hope it's same or cheaper than GCN ver

it is on microsoft's servers. like I said as far as I know MS is publishing the game here. I'm not averse to paying for the game, but be serious 90% of your hunters lisence fee is going towards the bandwidth. If I gotta pay more than a couple bucks a month I'll have some words for SEGA.

An extra fee of 600 Yen is being charged in Japan because the Japanese get the full game 100% free with their purchase of the XBOX Live kit. There is no such bundle in America, so we must buy the game seperatly. Sonic Team will get their profits from software sales here in the States, but they will not in Japan. So the Japanese get charged a monthly fee to compensate, and no such fee is nessessary in America.

Sorry, but no. The software fee is nothing. It would have a monthly fee regardless. Bandwidth and content are not free.

It's on Microsoft's Xbox Live server, and the Xbox Live subscription fee is paying for that bandwidth.

Sega, however, does not need players to pay for bandwidth because we aren't playing on their servers. However, it'd be reasonable to charge a very small fee per month if they gave our regular updates/patches and/or new content, and if they didn't, we'd have no logical reason to pay them at all, aside from buying thier game.

I wouldn't have a problem paying a couple bucks a month for regular patches, say, once a month maybe, but not if the price gets to be absurd for just some patches.

from my understanding extra fees on XBL will not be a monthy occurance not even for patches those will be free i asume, but if ya want a additional characters or vehicles or what ever that would cost ya a few bucks for some games not all will charge but some will for this additional material, hey i would pay a few bucks to give my game a new level.
