In my opinion, these drawings are great. Pretty much the only major thing that can be done (from what I see) is use something besides crappy colored pencils. (I learned this the hard way myself http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif )

Beyond that just minute details that need to be fixed, mostly involving balance. But I'll let someone better versed in those things let you know.

I like the way you do faces and expressions, real neat :3 also, I really like what you did with her hair, it looks nicely flowing and smooth

interesting touch with the wings o.o reminds me of succubus o.o

hmm, on him, preety neat that you did all the costume from memory, came right on, oh, just, the bit where his hair falls over his left eye, you should have at least outlined the black of the eye to give it shape, it looks somewhat odd like it is now, that, and the neck seems somewhat off, as if not fitting into the costume, remember to make the clothes interact with the body http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

I see you did an effort on both to make the coloring aquire shading and texture and that is great, just remember something, no matter how crappy the material, if you work it with /lots/ of patience, in short, even and controlled strokes, you can achieve profesional looks, it just needs a lot more of patience, but please do keep up the good work, you got the talent :3

one tip for coloring, it's not about the pressure of your stroke, it's about the number of repetitions over the same spot what makes a good shading technique

Also, you might try getting a blender, or using multiple pencils for each colour. For blending/smoothing, you can use blending sticks, q-tips, or (if you're that incredibly cheap like I am) your finger tips. Otherwise, try using a white pencil.

Using multiple pencils for each colour will give your work a huge amount of depth. I try to use around 5-8 different pencils for each colour (excepting white), but you might find a different amount works better for you. Sure, it takes a lot longer (I almost never spend less than 8-12 hours on a coloured pencil piece*. Slow down and take your time smoothing, and adding depth and detail), but the extra time is well worth it.

ETA: Another thing that might be fun/helpful is if you scan the inked version before you colour it. Then, if you're not happy with how the colouring turns out, you can print a new copy and try it again. I did that alot when I was first practicing with markers (since I rarely if ever ink for coloured pencil work), and it was incredibly helpful.

*Then again, I'm insanely meticulous, so take that with a grain of salt.

Lets find that Color Pencil tutorial! (I had that thing favorited before my comp restarted all my favorites http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif ) [blasted, broken linked :<]
LadyJ is right about the smoother pencil look thing. It does make things look alot better smooth, as opposed to whats up now.

Another way i was taught for pencil work was to keep the same closely centered strokes, that way it looks alot more uniformed.

I like both drawings but the Fonewm has no hands... hands are hard to draw (i can't draw a hand in less than 5 minutes.) If you are not adding hands just draw little 'almond' hands.

I got tired of coloring with hand coloring. I never liked it. I stuck with black and white. If you ink this you can try many different colors or use graphics coloring.

Since you have an old scanner, it can scan for black and white only... which is good for inked pictures.... i discovered mine could scan for b&w and i flipped out.
