Phantasy Star Online: DS?

Apparently, it seems to be in the works.

A buddy of mine, who has a subscriber account over at IGN, told me today that IGN was able to get their hands on some information, and images, regarding this new PSO port. Since I don't have a subscriber account, I can't link, nor access, any articles. All I have is the information he provided me.

Apparently, over the last year or so, the game has had a slight makeover to utilize the touchscreen. Gameplay will pretty much be the same as Episode 1&2 plus, but there just might be downloadable content this time. Also, there is news that additional content will be accessed via WiFi for players to enjoy (online Ep4?!)

Don't forget that the NiWiFi logo always goes on the DS logo, and not on the actual boxart.

Somebody should e-mail Sega to let them know. It would be so embarrassing if they shipped it like that.

Sonic Team doesn't even have a disclaimer about online play being able to change the rating of the game!

I figure a game such as PSO would need that, but alas after 5 years, no disclaimer whatsoever!

So they surely placed the WI-Fi logo in the wrong place and said SCRU IT, we R done, and are now going to work on Phantasy Star Universe version 2.01, Baseball trading card version.

This would be fairly cool if they would do it. Sure, the text may be smaller, but then again, maybe not. You could have the top screen to play on, and the bottom screen either a map of the area, or the current START menu to access all your stuff quickly and easily. Putting it online probably wouldn't be too difficult, either. And we probably wouldn't have to worry about typing with the stylus, I wouldn't be surprised if they stuck in the voice chat for this IF they were going to make it.

I remember a thread before the DS was released that had a line up of the games planned for it. PSO was on the list. Then when the DS was released, it wasn't on there anymore.
