PSU Book of Legend

I recieved a gift from clumsyorchid in my mailbox. Apparently this new book is short enough that sega has provided both japanese and english in the same book, odds being JP and evens being ENG. Its essentially the story of the events that take place during the offline game. Could this be an indication that not everything made it into the game? Here's a snippet from the book. Since its not known if this is a significant part of the story, this needs to be as a SPOILER
