Just to let you know, there won't be any specific classes anymore. When you create your character, you will choose a race and gender. You will be able to customize your class attributes in-game through a point system.

Not true. We discuss things everyday. Also, depends on time of day. Some are just on at different times. As updates are learned about, they're immediately posted & discussed. Sometimes, we discuss alot of what ifs. Just gotta keep reading & you'll see. As to answer your question, look on the Home page under the left column. You'll see Phantasy Star Universe. It will have various topics there that you can check out, including the class types. No longer restricted to classes, you pretty much raise your char how you want. Details are still sketchy, but, suffice to say there's a bit more flexibility than how there once was.

There are people around, but we are currently in a lull right now. Besides the announcement of the beta, there hasn't been any "real" news in a few weeks. As such, there really isn't anything new to talk about and most topics have already been covered. Most of the other PSU forums I keep an eye on are the same way right now. Don't worry, there will be more activity once the closed beta begins (assuming any of us get in). Once the game comes out, you will definitely see more posts (or so I'm hoping). Besides, today is Easter. Most people don't browse the forums on a holiday.

Of course, they won't be able to use them well, due to their low MST (or whatever the PSU equivalent is), but to each their own. I expect to see all sorts of bizzare combinations when this comes out, such as ranger beasts.

As for myself, my prediction is that I'll start off with a male human hunter/ranger type character as a main (I wouldn't be able to live without mechguns), then maybe start dedicated ranger (possibly a cast?) and force (newman) characters.

im not sure what i want ot make but i do favor the elf races in every RPG and such with custom charecters so just better hope so far i like them robot guys and the elfs ^_^

I may misunderstand your post because of how it is written, but you said that all the forums are full? What I think you are talking about is on the forum index, next to the Topic title, it lists the pages, the it says "full".

That does not mean that it is full, that means that if you click on "full", it will display all posts for that topic at once. The only time that you cannot post on a topic is if it is locked.

Im going to try and make the largest possible Cast there is (height, width, adornments etc), so i almost tower over everything. (*imagines scaring noobs as they enter the field)
Chances are i'll make a ranger out of him. And if i can, i'll buy him a massive Tank to play with ^_^.

Im also going to make a Cowboy/Rogue style Human and a female Force.

that vid was MAD funny ^_^. but also i have been toying around with the idea of making a character that would in pso terms be a FOcaseal. but most definately the return of my HUnewearl, i love being my own backup force, and a HURAmar.

Technically, it wasn't said that casts could cast techs. They're said to have MST so one would think so. I still think their MST will play a different part for them, but, I do hope they can be tech users. I'm just not jumping the gun til I see proof of this. If the Hou system applies to all, they can hold a wand & do as such. Still, something keeps telling me their MST will be different.

Yes, it may only apply to the SUV weapon (which I believe you suggested in a different thread). I hope they can use techs, but I doubt that they will be good with them.

Exactly my saying. I just want magic for the healing part though. I don't quite understand how that should work, though, if the spells are bound to the weapon (guns with Resta on them.. HUH!?)

There is actually only one class of weapons that technics can be applied to, appropriately called the tech(nique/nic) class. From what's been shown, there only appear to be two weapons within this class, however: the rod and the wand.

Not necessarily. True, you won't be able to cast resta on yourself or party members with a gun or rifle equipped, but you can always keep a single-handed wand with resta applied to it in your inventory to quickly swap to when you need it. Even though the wand is a FO tech weapon, all class types can use it.

Yes, for 2 reasons:
1. I have never considered that SUV would take MST (or what ever the PSU equivalant is), and that really got me thinking.

2. Of all the people that post on this forum, you are the only one that I know of that has actually PLAYED the game (turns a little green http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif ) I know it was only a limited demo, but it's more than most will know until it comes out (including me).

Anyway, I tend to listen more to what you have to say (there are others here as well that I think have a good insight) but most of it is just pure speculation.

I finally get to go to a convention for something I want & I get to play a game I didn't think I'd be able to for a LONG time. However, that kinda makes it harder on me as I have some idea of what to expect & it kills me sometimes that I can't play it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I'm definitely going to make it a point to work on the controls next chance I get to play. I also hope controls can be changed. The way I had to hold O & cycle through the wep list I did NOT like. The way it's set up in PSO works for me. With a new game, I'd like full control of control setup. I just hope ST thought to include that.
