Hey everybody,

I was wondering whether you spotted any information about DirectX or OpenGL use yet as I couldn't find anything in the FAQs and official sites.

I don't own a Playstation 2, but if I recall correctly it uses OpenGL only (please correct me on this?). So although all previous PSO titles on PC have been using DirectX, there's hope PSU would at least have an option for OpenGL (if PS2 really uses OGL only like the PS3 will).

Why am I wondering about this? Well, I don't expect a cross-platform release for this game as ST kinda sucks in that way, so I wonder how big my chances are to emulate this game on my Linux box. PSOBB didn't quite work because of that gameguard thingy which was behaving really strange, too - oh snapz! But that's a different story http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Thanks for your ever so kind help http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

always assume DirectX's currently higher versions on all software.

Since it's Winodws on PC, I'd say DirectX. Although I prefer OpenGl (always seemed more efficient)

I just now noticed that on this page (http://segadirect.jp/Catalog/CustomPages/CustomDetail2.aspx?File=psu.htm), the system specs include the line "Direct X: DirectX9.0 c," so I suppose the game will use DirectX. Sorry...
